True Amplitude Detection (TAD)
-A Novel Invention
• PiControl Solutions company has invented
a new algorithm (TAD) to identify and
isolate the true amplitudes of process
signals.
• Competitor softwares report spectral
frequency that includes both high,
medium and low frequency noise.
• Only ApromonTM has the TAD capability
that pinpoints problems like never before.

Case 1: Perfect Sinusoidal Oscillation
The signal to the left shows
a almost perfect sinusoidal wave.
This has a single dominant
frequency.

Case 2: Noisy Sinusoidal Oscillation
The signal to the left shows a
noisy sinusoidal wave.
This has a single dominant
frequency, but also fast and
medium noise frequencies.
Despite any level of noise, drift and
disturbances, Apromon can isolate
the true oscillation and not confuse
with the noise and “squibbles”.

True Amplitude Detection (TAD) Algorithm
• The TAD algorithm helps to very accurately
determine which loops are truly oscillating.
• TAD allows various precision tuning parameters
to customize each loop to catch oscillations very
precisely.
• Irrespective of noise levels, squibbly data or
filtering or any other signal characteristics, TAD
provides the necessary handles to detect
oscillations without getting confused.
