You can tell this by the spider webs that are on the screen. Another thing you can see in this screen is the webs do not look like they are made out of conventional spiders web. They look as if they are made of metal and this symbolises Spiderman's strength. In this scene you see the words Spiderman printed across a spiders web. This puts emphasis on the Spiderman part of the story. Also the words are glowing which makes the viewers believe that Spiderman is the hero in this story and that he will shine in his role as the hero.

This is a common convention of a superhero movie that a hero will fight through adversity so that they can become a true super hero. In this scene you see the villain in this film, the Green Goblin. You can tell he is a villain by the music in the background because it is a very evil background music. You can also tell by the facial features on the person because they are sharp and jagged and this makes the Green Goblin look evil. You can also see that the Goblins face dissolves and it appears to be made out of webs. This signifies that without Spiderman there may never have been a Green Goblin.
