An 81-year-old woman presented with low back pain attributed to recurrent metastatic carcinoma in the lumbar spine, following past spinal surgery for tumor resection and treatment. She has a history of lower extremity numbness and has undergone steroids for relief; however, recent imaging indicated severe stenosis and loose screws in the spine. The patient was offered further surgical consultation as her oncologist advised against radiation treatment due to the recurrent nature of her tumor.
