• Introduction
Starbucks Corporation is an American coffee company and coffeehouse chain.
• Location Strategy
Starbucks choose the most prime and strategic location across the globe.
They target premium, high-traffic, high-visibility locations near a variety of settings.
Including downtown and suburban retail centers, office buildings, university campuses, and in select rural and off-highway
locations across the world.
This has earned them a significant competence and advantage to be able to penetrate prime markets and tap into customers
convince factor.
• Layout
The layout design of Starbucks cafés maximizes workflow efficiency.
The layout strategy does not maximize space utilization for tables and seats because Starbucks’ focus is on premium
customer experience, which involves higher prices for more leg space in the cafés.
They provide special chambers for students or teams for study or group discussion
They Design their stores to look natural.
That the design have low impact on the environment and surrounding and are energy efficient.

It is known for it best quality products. It does not compromise on the quality of its products.
For this purpose they prevent themselves from joint ventures in markets that it will effect its product quality and try to
diversify their products from others competitors.
Like giving them different names like Teavana (Tea Products) Bay Breads (premium bread products) Evolution Fresh (fresh
juice products) etc.
Due to this their product prices are higher.
• Expansion Strategy
Another crucial strategy for Starbuck’s growth has been its international strategies of expanding into key developed and
emerging markets.
It has been highly successful with operation spanning 60 countries.

To supply material to more than 16,700 retail stores the Starbucks policy is
Starbucks Coffee’s supply chain is global, although majority of the company’s coffee beans come from farmers in developing
countries.
That they sent beans to a roasting, manufacturing, and packaging plant.
Once the beans are prepared, Starbucks has a tedious, well thought out delivery process.
Starbucks only have 6 roasting facilities which are very few for such a big company but they belief in centralized roasting
system and the delivering it from that centralized facility.
• Maintenance Policy Of Starbucks
• Starbucks maintains its physical assets through dedicated teams of employees trained for maintaining facilities and
equipment.
• As well as third parties that offer maintenance services.
• Thus, Starbucks addresses this decision area of operations management through the involvement of café personnel,
dedicated maintenance teams, and third-party service providers.
