The document presents a modified steganography method based on Adaptive Pixel Value Differencing (APVD), which prevents gray scale overflow in stego-images while maintaining data hiding capacity and visual fidelity. By managing pixel values within the 0-255 range during the embedding process, the proposed algorithm aims to enhance the quality of the stego-image compared to the traditional Pixel Value Differencing (PVD) method. Experimental results demonstrate that this method retains similar payload and visual quality as conventional PVD while effectively addressing overflow issues.
