- 2. Homework should be done daily It’s important to practice every day. New skills take practice to master them! Be patient. Your child is learning a new skill. Some have likened it to learning to play the piano. You need to practice many times in order to master this new skill.

Practice the correct sound • Short sessions (5 or 10 minutes) are better for most children and can make a significant difference. • 20 good productions are better than 100 bad ones. • Unless your Speech-Language Pathologist instructs you otherwise, you should work on only one sound or blend at a time.

- 6. Homework Ideas Practice speech sounds while playing games. Say a sentence with your speech sound in it every time you bounce a ball or take a turn.
