- 1. THIRD SUNDAY OF THE YEAR (21 -1-2018) NOTICES FOR THE WEEK 1. January Bible Questwill be held today/tomorrow. Please occupy 4 firstfloor classrooms, oneparticipanton each desk. 2. The January Eco kids project drawing poster contestwill be held today/tomorrowon any environment theme. Details are already posted in the parish gem WhatsApp group. 3. The novenas in preparation for our parish feast are being held till comingSaturday, 27th January. Every day, the novena mass in Konkani will be celebrated at6.30 pm. This will be followed by the recitation of novena prayerin Tamil followed by the novena mass in English at7.30 p.m.Two massintention boxes, one for the 6.30 pm and the other for the 7.30 pm mass are placed atthe altar for the novena masses. Accordingly, you may dropin your intentions along with the mass offering in these boxes. 4. As partof the Infant Fiesta 2018, the PYC will organize two pre-events for children on comingFriday, 26th January from 4.30 pm - 6.15 pm. For students up to Std. VII – Drawing Competition and for VIII – XI Hat designing competition. Entry forms for the same are available with the PYC members.Entry fee for both the eventis Rs 20/- only. 5. Community wise games will be held today/tomorrow, Sunday 21st January after the 9.30 am mass in the Church extension. 6. Our parish feastwill be held on coming Sunday, 28th January. As a partof our celebration, we begin with a procession alongwith the Infant Jesus statue. Please gather near the TATA showroom near Jogeshwari- Vikhroli link road junction ofthe western express highway at8 am. During the procession please followthe instructions of the ushers and police personnel, andmaintain decorum. Theprocession will reach the church atabout9 o’clock after which we will have the feast mass. On feastday, there will usual morning Konkani mass at6.30. 7. The second partofour parish feast, will be the parish fete begins atabout5 in the evening. Therewill be group dance contestas a partof evening programme. Besides, gamesand other entertainment, the dinner has been arranged to all. To bear the partofthe dinner cost, like last year please collecta coupon for Rs 75/- per head from your PPC members. PPC members, please return the unsoldcoupons to the parish office latest by 24th January 2018. Children belowseniorKG will be free. But for accounting purpose, PPC members, please give the nos ofkids belowSr Kg attending to Fr Henry. As an eco-friendly policy ofour parish, please try to minimize the garbage by avoiding the use ofplastic/thermacol items including throwaway plates/glasses etc. Also, it will be safe and a good idea ifyou bring drinking water bottle from your home.Sponsors for the parish feast, including the newPalki which will be used for Infant Jesus procession are invited. Contactparish office or one ofthe parish fathers. 8. Today/tomorrow, 21st January we celebrate the vocation Sunday in our archdiocese. We pray for more and more youngboys and girlsofour parish may to listen to the call of God to become priests and religious to serve in the vineyard ofthe Lord. For those who are discerningto join the priesthood or religious life, a QUEST programme has been organised by the diocesanvocation centre on 25-26th January. See the poster on the notice board for further details. 9. Bible cell of our parish has organiseda Bible seminarfor all the regular BQ participants, and others interested on coming Friday, 26th January, a public holiday from 9.30 to 1.30 concluding with lunch. The resource person will be Fr Walter D’Souza, head ofthe archdiocesanBible Commission. To coverthe part of expenses, a nominal chargeper head Rs 50/- is charged. Balance will be paid by the church. Family cell ofour parish will be organising Shaadi Mubarak a programme for married couples on Sunday Feb 4, starting with a special mass at 9.30 am followed by a get-together in the AV hall. Charges per couple will be Rs 200/-. Registration forms available in the parish office or with Family Cell members. 11. Our parishioners are requested notto entertain requestto influence school or church management regarding admissions matters. Admissions arestrictly done as per the norms givenby the archdiocesan board ofeducation. 12. Daily Flash subscribers, Konkani and English please renewyour subscription in the parish office. 13. Archdiocesan Bible committee is organising a biblical based photo contest. See poster on the notice board. 14. Diocesan youth centre is organising various summer camps.
