A student conducted two experiments to investigate relationships between load-bearing ability, folding, and area of paper. Experiment 1 found that load capacity did not significantly change with increased folding. Experiment 2 found an inverse relationship between load capacity and the area of folded paper. The experiments could be improved by using a smoother work area and thinner paper to reduce variability and gather a useful range of data.
