This study examines end-user actions as significant threats to information system security in higher education, specifically at the University of Namibia, amid increased cybersecurity risks due to online migration during COVID-19. It identifies common human errors that lead to vulnerabilities, such as mishandling credentials and falling for phishing attacks, and proposes tailored countermeasures including improved ICT policies and training to enhance security awareness. The findings underline the necessity of addressing the human factor in cybersecurity, emphasizing that technology alone cannot guarantee security.
