The Tata Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate founded in 1868 by Jamsetji Tata. It is headquartered in Mumbai and chaired by Cyrus Pallonji Mistry. Starting as a small trading company, it has grown to become India's largest multinational, with over $100 billion in revenue and interests spanning 7 sectors across 39 countries. Some of its major acquisitions include Tetley Tea, Corus Steel, and Jaguar Land Rover. With over 500,000 employees, it is India's largest private sector employer and taxpayer.
