- 1. Introduction of my training company At first I asked a friend if she knew a good company who could teach me everything I needed to know. That leaded me to “garage Van Melckebeke Ltd”. I searched their phone number on the internet and called them to ask if I could stop by. My training company is settled in Stationstraat 218, 9550 Herzele. The distance between the company and my house was short, with my bike it only took me 10 minutes to get there. Garage Van Melckebeke is a family business, you’ve got Mr. Ivan Van Melckebeke who’s the manager and his wife Mrs. Beeckman Martine who’s a cooperating partner. The daughter is miss Van Melckebeke Edwina who does the administration and accountancy of the company. They have 2 employees in their business named Mr. De Dier Kris and Mr. Parret Karel both take care of mending cars.
- 2. Garage Van Melckebeke sells new Mitsubishi autos and repairs damaged cars. My expectations of working in a garage where bad, I thought that it would be boring and hard because I didn’t had much experience with autos. My opinion changed once I met the colleagues and got some tasks, it actually went way better than expected. My super visor was super friendly and helped me with all the questions I had. The person who helped me trough the week, “my supervisor” was miss Van melckebeke Edwina. She’s the managers daughter, so she basically grew up in the company and knows the ropes of the trade. This was the desk where I worked on for one week.
