Task 2
- 1. We added special effects such as ‘Cool tones’ to add a dark tint to the screen. We lowered the amount on the scale to make the tint lighter. This shows how I have learnt how to add special effects and I know understand how to use the ‘amount’ tool to decrease or increase the effect/colour.
- 2. We downloaded our chosen font onto Final Cut Pro X and then used the text tool to write in our title. We selected the ‘typewriter’ option of fonts. We changed the colour to green by clicking the button to change the colour. We changed the size of the text by moving the ‘size’ scale left and right. This shows how I have learnt how to use the text tool and edit text onto the screen.
- 3. I put transitions on our sequence. I did this by selecting the transition tool and selecting fade for example, I then drag it on the shot I want it on. Therefore I have learnt how to use transitions in editing. The arrow icon was used to upload the sequence to Youtube and share it, showing how I learnt how to share my videos.
- 4. I edited sound to the sequence. I added diagetic sound by clicking the music note icon and choosing the sounds I want to choose, I dragged it over the shots I wanted them on. I downloaded the non diegetic music to Final Cut Pro X and put it over the sequence, dragging it where I wanted it to start and end. For example, I typed in type writer after selecting the music note icon and dragged that over the title shot. I was able to fade the sound by pulling the sound waves to the left or right. This shows that I learnt how to edit sound on final cut pro and use the sound/music tool.
