- 2. Director Laura A director is a person from a group of managers who leads or supervises a particular area of a company, program, or project. Companies usually have a range of different directors for other roles of other departments (e.g. director of human resources). David Fincher David Fincher was born in 1962 in Denver and raised in California ,USA,. When he was 18 years old he went to work for John Korty at Korty Films in Mill Valley. He later he then worked at ILM (Industrial Light and Magic) from 1981-1983. Fincher left ILM to direct TV commercials and music videos after signing with N.Lee Lacey in Hollywood. He went on to found work in 1987 with fellow directors Dominic Sena and Nigel Dick. Fincher has directed TV commercials for big companies like Nike, Coca-Cola, Budweiser, Heineken, Pepsi, Levi's, Converse and Chanel. He has directed music videos for Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson and most recently A Perfect Circle. As a film director he has achieved huge success with Se7en (1995), Fight Club (1999) and Panic Room (2002). He is also known for directing films such as: The Game, Zodiac, The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, The Social Network, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl.

Director Laura The type of qualifications needed in order to become a successful film and TV director are that you’ll need experience of working in TV or film, and be confident with understanding the production process but it can take several years to build up your experience. It is most helpful to take a filmmaking or media production course to give you some of the practical skills you'll need, and to make contacts in the industry that will help you succeed along the way. One other way to help you make your directing career is to make your own films for a better portfolio etc. The skills required in order to become a successful director are to have: Excellent organisational and planning skills to keep the staff and project on track to be produced in time. The ability to make decisions quickly if changes are needed at last minuet. Leadership and motivational skills to keep the project running smoothly.

However be aware of the working conditions that come with the job as film, stage and television directors work in film and television studios, theatres and other performance spaces and also on film or television sets in actual locations. When they work outside they usually require specific, mildly warm weather conditions. They work long hours, often until late, and may be required to work on weekends or public holidays. They may be required to travel locally, across different States and even overseas to shoot on location.

Some producers take more of an executive role, in that they conceive new programs and pitch them to the television networks, but upon acceptance they focus on business matters, such as budgets and contracts. Steven Spielberg- Steven Allan Spielberg,born December 18, 1946 is an American director, producer, and screenwriter. He is considered one of the founding pioneers of the New Hollywood era, as well as being viewed as one of the most popular directors and producers in film history.He is also one of the co-founders of DreamWork Studios. Skills & Qualifications Producers have overall control on every aspect of a film's production. They bring together and approve the whole production team. Their key responsibility is to create an environment where the talents of the cast and crew can flourish. Producers are accountable for the success of the finished film. They steer the film from beginning to completion and beyond. No specific qualifications are needed, its mostly about experiance but having a bachelors or masters degree could be helpful

To get started in the Production Office it is worth getting experience as a Production Assistant or Runner. If you can prove that you are reliable, trustworthy and enthusiastic you may progress. Finding a job in producing: There are many websites and newspapers that will present you with many job opportunities for whatever you are looking for. For example the website will tell you specifically what you would need to do and what they would require. An example of a job website would be indeed jobs.

In this role you will oversee each project from conception to completion and may also be involved in the marketing and distribution process. You'll work closely with directors and other production staff on a shoot.

Screenwriter Laura A screenwriter is someone who can adapt or write scripts for film or television, providing outlines of the plot of a piece of writing, shooting scripts and collaborating and rewriting on deadlines. Aaron Benjamin Sorkin Born June 9, 1961 is an American screenwriter, producer, and playwright. His works include the Broadway plays such as ‘A Few Good Men’ and ‘The Farnsworth Invention’ .

Screenwriter Laura In order to be a successful screenwriter the skills you will need are: excellent writing ability in order to write a script and clearly express the story line so the directors and producers can see if it will make them money. creativity and imagination to come up with ideas that will be a successful story that will make the company money. storytelling skills and an understanding of dramatic structure. There are no set requirements, but you may find it useful to take a course to develop your skills and understand dramatic structure and the relevant courses include creative writing and scriptwriting. Also experience in journalism, advertising copywriting or acting can help when applying as you won’t then require as much supervision on the job as others may need when they first start.

But depending on the script they're writing screenwriters input can vary.

You may be able to do standard office hours for some employers but a 50-hour working week is likely if you're working on television or feature film projects. Shift work may be required if editing studios are booked at night. When there are deadlines to meet, long hours and overtime can be expected.
