What is Macro

the world, it just typically
captures the presence of
nature but can also focus on
man – made features.

What is portrait
photography?
Portrait photography is a
picture drawing or painting
of a person or a group of
people that are showing
their expressions or their
mood of a specific subject.
This is a example of a portrait image
What is distance
photography?
Distance photography is
beyond which all objects
can be brought into a
focus. Example would be a
long shot or a close up.
This is a example of a distance image it is a long
shot, this is where you can see all the background in
a frame from top to bottom.
ANGLES
What is low angle?
A high angel is when the camera is
looking down on a subject from a high
angle.
What is a high angle?
A low angle is a shot from a
camera angle positioned low it
is anywhere below the eye line,
looking up. Sometimes, it is
even directly below the
subject's feet.
What is a canted angle?
This is a camera angle which is purposely slanted to one
side, sometimes used for dramatic effect to help portray
unease.
What is a wide angle?
A wide angle is having a short focal
length and hence a field covering a
wide angle.
COMPOSITION
What is rule of thirds?
Rule of thirds is to imagine breaking up an
image down into thirds so that you have 9
parts.
What is foreground?
The part of a view that is nearest to the
observer or is a important position of an
image.
What is background?
The part of a picture or design that forms a
setting. It cover all of the picture or page.

FOCUS
What is a depth of field:
It is the distance between the nearest and farthest objects in a scene that appear
acceptably sharp in an image.

What is a sharp focus?
A sharp focus is something that is very clear and focused on, and
the background is blurred.

What is a soft focus?
Soft focus is a lens flaw, in which the lens forms images that
are blurred, but it has sharp edges. .

ZOOM
What is a digital zoom?
Digital zoom is a method of decreasing the apparent angle of
view of a digital photographic or video image. Digital zoom is
done by cropping an image down to a cantered area with the
same ratio as the original.

What is analogue zoom?
This is when a person captures a
perspective that is close to them then the
original perspective.

What is optical zoom?
It is technique that is used when taking
pictures at a far away distance, this help
it produce better quality images.

LEVEL
High level
High level photography is when a picture has been taken from high above in a high
angel, it covers a very large area.
Low level
Low level photography is when a picture only cover a small area, this shows a bottom to
something or it shows something in depth.
