• The world of TCP/IP networks - corporate networks,
the Internet, underlying layers like radio and fiber,
home networks, personal networks and networks of
things.
• From network infrastructure to application layer
protocols and implementations
• In short, what marketing people call “the cloud”
W H AT W E D O
• We share our knowledge about networks
• You don’t have to be a super guru to talk, just share
your knowledge with help of slides, a whiteboard or
nothing - just talk.
• We help each other to build knowledge in a friendly
way, a positive atmosphere and encourage
cooperation, open discussion and all kinds of
questions, especially silly ones.
W H AT W E D O N ’ T D O
• Tell someone that the presentation was bad, totally
wrong and … you know.
• Frown at questions asked. We do encourage
questions.
• Treat each other badly.
• Excluded from this rule are Cybermen, Weeping Angels and Daleks.
H O W W E C O N T R I B U T E
• You don’t have to be a super guru to talk, just share your
knowledge with help of slides, a whiteboard or nothing -
just talk.
• Five minutes, fifteen, thirty or more. We’re open.
• Everyone has something to share
• Unless otherwise stated, everyone talk in a personal role,
not as representatives for a company. Opinions are thus
personal, not reflecting any company’s point of view.
T Y P I C A L M E E T U P
• One presentation on a very basic level of a core
protocol or function in the network
• One presentation that is more advanced
• A set of short presentations on all kind of related
topics - from application specific protocols,
implementations to IP over raindrops…
