As her site supervisor, I have known and worked with Inna for the 2010/2011 school year. Inna is one of the most competent interns that we have had at Technical High School. Her range of skills is tremendous and her motivation and passion for the job is impressive. Inna has experienced all aspects of the counselor role at a large high school. She has been involved in academic and career counseling with students. She has done this in both facilitation of small groups, and individual sessions. Inna has also dealt extensively with our registration process in regards to , conveying accurate course information and helping students choose appropriate courses. She was the sole person in charge of tracking absent students and ensuring all students were registered. Proctoring and interpretation of tests was another important task that Inna undertook. We give an array of tests at Technical High School that includes Advanced Placement testing, Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments, PSAT, PLAN and the ASVAB. Inna was able to present test information to students in both a small group and individual fashion . Inna possesses many of the skills it takes to be an effettive school counselor. Common characteristics include motivation, genuineness and personality, follow through, eye for detail, a nonjudgmental attitude, and a passion for students.
