- 10. meet the uk team Steve Guest - Managing Director Steve began his career in recruitment more than 15 years ago with a national engineering recruitment company. One of his greatest strength is his ability to use his vast skill and experience to solve any problems that arise. He enjoys the many challenges that clients pose him on a daily basis and understands how talented candidates can add considerable value to a company’s infrastructure. Steve has recruited at all levels within the Technical and Engineering market and continues to assist a diverse range of international clients in the Oil & Gas, Subsea, Energy, Petrochemical and Marine industries. Dawn Smith – Senior Recruitment Consultant Dawn has more than 15 year’s recruitment industry experience, working for Small Independent Recruiters through to Multinational Recruitment Agencies. She has gained extensive experience in recruiting within the Petrochemical industry and has also developed her skills within the Sales & Marketing sector, where she focused on sourcing senior staff for the IT, Aviation, Packaging Machinery and Medical industries. Dawn has most recently worked as an in–house Consultant for a leading engineering service organisation within the Nuclear, Defence and Power Generation industries recruiting professional engineers. Steve Affleck – Recruitment Consultant Steve began his career in the Royal Navy as a Leading Marine Engineer, he trained at HMS Sultan for 4 years and gained a HNC in Mechanical Engineering. After leaving the Royal Navy he moved into the recruitment sector, starting his career in a search and selection function working on a variety of engineering and technical positions globally, successfully recruiting across Europe and the Middle East. In March 2011 Steve joined Techconsult UK, bringing with him eight years of recruitment expertise as well as a sound understanding of Technical Engineering.
