PARTNERSHIPS As part of its collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, Tesla is building electric powertrain components for the Mercedes A- Class E-Cell, an electric car with a range of 124 miles Tesla Motors and Toyota announced in July 2010 that the two companies have signed an agreement to initiate the development of a second generation of the compact Toyota RAV4 EV.
