1 Testing

(amend text to reflect client requirement - LMS names, platforms, min tec specs,
project name, range of testing options required etc)

Over the last 10 years we have built up an enviable reputation in industry
for the quality of e-learning we produce, not just from a creative and
instructional perspective, but also for usability and technical robustness.

Key to our success is the belief testing must be tailored specifically to each client's
needs and unique to each project. For us testing is not a last minute activity, instead
an integral part of the development process with senior level input from initial design
      through to final delivery.

Unique to our development approach is the Early Build Review (EBR) where we build a
sample of the look and feel, technical platform and key screentypes before developing
the full solution. This stage provides an ideal testing and usability opportunity enabling
us iron out potential issues early on, greatly de-risking the project, avoiding costly
change requests later in development, and giving greater confidence to our clients that
no last minute issues will affect agreed delivery dates.

This approach is particularly useful for clients with complex requirements, multiple
delivery platforms, or strict industry/accessibility standards who want demonstrable
assurances, early on, that the end product covers all functional and user requirements.

As part of the set up phase a senior, ISEB qualified tester will be assigned to your
project and tasked with developing robust test plans and quality assurance criteria for
each key deliverable before executing rigorous testing at key sign off points along with
      the testing team.

Depending on your particular requirements these might include:

      • Content testing: Checking for accuracy and completeness as well as layout
problems or text overruns on screen
      • Functionality testing: Generally can be carried out simultaneously with content
testing, it involves checking the structure of the program in ways which mimic as
many of the potential user inputs as possible.

      • Compatibility testing: The program is checked across a
range of systems to verify it runs correctly on all required
          platforms.

      • Regression testing: Throughout the development cycle,
re-testing is carried out to validate identified errors have
been fixed. Ensuring at final release all issues have been
          resolved.

      • Usability testing: Carried out to ensure the design meets both user and learning
requirements. Usability tests are carried out using diverse focus groups
including, for example, users with differing levels of content comprehension,
computer literacy, and cognitive abilities, as well users with visual impairment who
          use assistive technologies.

• Interoperability checks: All our programs are tested to ensure they work as
designed within your Learning Management System(s)

• Stress testing: Vital for any LMS solutions, it is designed to check the solution can
handle the required volumes of data and user concurrency.

Whatever your precise requirements are, our process is
completely transparent. All test results are made available to
you via our simple and highly effective online BIT testing
database, 24 x 7 throughout the year enabling you to check
progress on specific issues anytime, anywhere. BIT is also
made available to you during your internal testing to register
issues and changes for our immediate attention. Full training
and support documentation is provided to ensure you use it
correctly.
