The Problem Due to the abundance of students attending various academies, the school system is forced to use numerous amounts of resources, such as gas, in order to provide adequate transportation. Transportation 62,000 students are transported daily 640 buses travel daily Buses travel 53,410 miles a day, 10 million a year, and 83 miles per day per bus
- 3. Purpose FullHopeSon Education proposes to combine all academy programs into one feasible location. FullHopeSon will reconstruct a central location , Green Run High School, that will be beneficial to both students and the city’s public school system. - 7. Academy Opening The Academy: A School for Specialized Studies will open September 8 th , 2020. Current students in the academies at the five high school locations will move to The Academy for the 2020-2021 school year where they will complete the next level of education. The curriculum will include each academy strand having a specific course load and general education classes will be mixed with student of every strand. Staring the 2021-2022 school year, rising freshman and sophomores only can apply through a common application, and will then have a requirement for the specific strand (i.e. audition for Visual & Performing Arts Academy).

Answer: “Dropping off students on main roads is dangerous, and when the buses come it’s dark outside because it is early.” Jasmine Smith – Graduated Student at First Colonial High School Academy Question: How do you feel your experience would have been if you attended a central academy? Answer: “It would be a good experience because being around those who have the same passion and career goals will encourage everyone to be the best they can to achieve their ultimate dream.”
