The Algonquian Nation consisted of several tribes spread across the upper northeastern United States and Canada that spoke similar languages. These tribes included the Fox, Sauk, Menominee, Miami, Ojibwe, Kickapoo, and Potawatomi. Each tribe had their own distinct cultures and practices related to roles of men, women, and families as well as housing, clothing, crafts, and religious beliefs, but were united through their shared Algonquian ancestry and languages.
