The Awaited Prophet
- 1. THE AWAITED PROPHET (S.A.W.) His genuine concern and sincerity for entire humanity & now our obligation
- 3. Why to rediscover the message and the example of Prophet Mohammad (SAW)? His message is being wrongfully equated to violence when it is all about peace and mercy. His message is being looked through the miserable condition of the Ummah when it is all about success and salvation. Excellent morals, love of humanity, solution of all human problems are being overshadowed by ignorance and negative propaganda.

- 5. Araf, 7:58 Say: "O men! I am sent unto you all as the apostle of Allah to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: there is no god but He: it is He that gives both life and death. So believe in Allah and His apostle the unlettered Prophet who believed in Allah and His words: follow him that (so) ye may be guided

Highlights of the Prophet’s Message ( In the light of his last sermon) Worship one Allah ( Tauhid) Accept Mohammad (SAW) as the final messenger, model and guide from Allah Believe and work for the hereafter Develop regularity and excellence in acts of Ibadah ( Prayer, fasting, charity etc) Excellence in morals and conduct

Message of the Prophet All human beings are equal in their status except piety Fulfill the rights of other human beings Treat women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things. Convey these words to others .

Quran لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَفْسَكَ أَلا يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ It may be thou frettest thy soul with grief, that they do not become Believers. 26.003 (Ash-Shuara) فَلَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَفْسَكَ عَلَى آثَارِهِمْ إِنْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَسَفًا Thou wouldst only, perchance, fret thyself to death, following after them, in grief, if they believe not in this Message. 18.006 (Al-Kahf )

Fatir إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرٌ وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ (You are only a warner, and to every people there is a guide) وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِى كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَّسُولاً أَنِ اعْبُدُواْ اللَّهَ وَاجْتَنِبُواْ الْطَّـغُوتَ فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ هَدَى اللَّهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الضَّلَـلَةُ (And verily, We have sent among every Ummah a Messenger (proclaiming): "Worship Allah, and avoid all false deities.'' Then of them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified) (16:36). وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَـتِ

Quran أَفَمَنْ زُيِّنَ لَهُ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ فَرَآهُ حَسَنًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ فَلا تَذْهَبْ نَفْسُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسَرَاتٍ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ Is he, then, to whom the evil of his conduct is made alluring, so that he looks upon it as good, (equal to one who is rightly guided)? For Allah leaves to stray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So let not thy soul go out in (vainly) sighing after them: for Allah knows well all that they do! 035.008 (Fatir)

BUKHARI Volume 8, Book 76, Hadith Number 490 Narated By Abu Huraira : I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "My example and the example of the people is that of a man who made a fire, and when it lighted what was around it, Moths and other insects started falling into the fire. The man tried (his best) to prevent them, (from falling in the fire) but they overpowered him and rushed into the fire. The Prophet added: Now, similarly, I take hold of the knots at your waist (belts) to prevent you from falling into the Fire, but you insist on falling into it."

- 13. 1-Intense realization of his obligation for Dawah Ilallah يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ شَاهِدًا وَمُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا O Prophet! Truly We have sent thee as a Witness, a Bearer of Glad Tidings, and Warner,- وَدَاعِيًا إِلَى اللَّهِ بِإِذْنِهِ وَسِرَاجًا مُنِيرًا And as one who invites to Allah's (grace) by His leave, and as a lamp spreading light. 33.045-046 (Al-Ahzab)
- 14. Sermon during last Hajj He asked people gathered in Arafat, “You will be asked on the Judgment Day about me whether I conveyed the message to you. What will be your answer?” They all replied,” O’ Prophet of Allah! Indeed you have conveyed the message.” Prophet said, “ O’ Allah! Be witness on this witness of your servants.”

- 16. 3-Utmost sincerity and sympathy to the mankind لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ Now hath come unto you a Messenger from amongst yourselves: it grieves him that ye should perish: ardently anxious is he over you: to the Believers is he most kind and merciful. 9.128 (At-Tawba)
- 17. Glimpses of Seerah showing Prophet’s love for all Dawah to the people of Taif (Day of Aqaba). He made dua for those who tortured him. When there was famine in Makkah, he sent money to Abu Sufyan Forgave those who plotted to kill him.
- 18. 4-Extra ordinary concern for success in the hereafter مَنْ يُصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمَهُ وَذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْمُبِينُ "On that day, if the penalty is averted from any, it is due to Allah's mercy; And that would be (Salvation), the obvious fulfilment of all desire. 006.016 (Al-Anaam)

Concern for success in Akhirah كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ أُجُورَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَمَنْ زُحْزِحَ عَنِ النَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of Life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception. 003.185 (Aal-E-Imran)
- 20. Our Responsibility Ye have indeed in the Apostle of Allah a beautiful pattern of (conduct) for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day and who engages much in the praise of Allah.
- 21. What is the action plan? Present Islamic message to the non Muslims and Muslims in N America. (Dawah Ilallah) Organize those who agree with this message in the discipline of Jamaah. (ICNA/MAS) Provide for the intellectual, moral and physical training of all in the Jamaah. Provide social services to the helpless and needy in the society. Cooperate with all to further the cause of Islamic message.
- 22. Consequences of not doing… وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوْا يَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُونُوا أَمْثَالَكُمْ If you turn away (from the Path) He will substitute in your stead another people; then they would not be like you! (47:38)
