This document describes a proposed building fire monitoring system that uses wireless sensor nodes and a Zigbee-WiFi gateway. The system aims to address issues with current building fire safety systems. It would use Zigbee wireless technology to establish a sensor network to detect fires based on temperature, smoke, and other factors. If a fire is detected, the sensor node would send information to a monitoring node via the Zigbee-WiFi gateway. This monitoring node would then alert emergency personnel via text/call to a remote handheld device. The overall goal is to provide real-time fire monitoring and enable faster response in the event of a detected fire.
