This document is a story told in rhyming verse about a dispute between a chicken and an egg over which came first. They take their case to Judge Snake. The chicken gives a persuasive argument and Judge Snake rules in his favor. However, Judge Snake then coils around and eats both the chicken and the egg. The story comments on Judge Snake's lethal brand of jurisprudence and tendency to eat those who come before him in court. Eventually, a farmer catches Judge Snake and puts him on trial in retaliation for the snake's depredations.
