- 1. The Pearl DIRECTIONS: Read all of John Steinbeck’s The Pearl by Tuesday, June 30th. As you read, answer the study questions posted under Day One. Your answers to these study questions are due on Tuesday, June 30th by midnight. ASSESSMENTS: There will be a test and a writing assignment on The Pearl on Tuesday, June 30th. These assignments must be completed by midnight on June 30th, or they will be considered late. Both the quiz and the writing assignment will be visible in the evening of Monday, June 29th.
