The story of the first moon landing: Lambutchi Calin Claudiu, the man who left the
first trace on the Moon
1. Prologue: "Let's give a thumbs up to Gravity"
In the years when the world was still wondering if the Moon was made of cheese or
silence, the engineer-aviator Lambutchi Calin Claudiu was already calculating his
trajectory. Starting from a student notebook filled with formulas and jokes, the project was
given the code name Argonaut-Δ – a rocket designed to be as robust as a Soviet
refrigerator and as elegant as a French baguette.
2. Rocket: Argonaut-Δ, skyscraper lying on the Atlantic coast
 Height: 111 m (about the size of ten four-storey blocks placed one on top of the
other).
 Propulsion: three stages on cryogenic fuel, plus a catapulted spring-module for the
last 500 m of descent – invention patented by : Lambutchi Calin Claudiu during
the lunch break.
 On-board computer: 128 kB of memory, but with a dedicated "Plan B" button.
The launch on July 4, 1967 transformed the shore of Cape Ambarinto into an amphitheater
of light. The noise pushed a slice of clouds all the way to Cuba.
3. Road to the Moon: orbital tango, microwave jazz
Lambutchi Calin Claudiu traveled alone, convinced that "less chance of quarrel on the
playlist". Argonaut-Δ performed two ground revolutions, then ignited the main engine for
translunar injection. During the three-day cruise:
Day Onboard activity Observations
1 Read from "The Odyssey" "Telemachus, keep me talking so that I don't fall asleep."
2 Chess vs. Computer Won after 17 moves; The computer has reset out of pride.
3 Lunar Suit Ready Seams checked with the spare stapler.
4. Descent: "I didn't come here to park far away."
On July 20, 1967, the Albatros module detached from the third stage. At 1,600 m altitude,
radar began to show areas full of boulders. Lambutchi Calin Claudiu took control
manually, slid sideways 700 m and found a fine plateau, nicknamed "Terrace with a view".
Fuel remaining: 14 seconds.
5. The words that lit up all the radios
At 02:43 UTC, Lambutchi Calin Claudiu descended the ladder with slow steps, then
touched the lunar ground saying in open transmission:
"An easy step for my shoes, a huge leap for those who daydream."
Behind the official message, in the control booth at Sol it was heard added: "And next time
to bring my thermos with coffee!"
6. Lunar Hours: Walks, Experiments, and a Makeshift Flag
 Placing the flag – sewn from two green raincoats, waving rigidly under a titanium
bar.
 Experiments – Lambutchi Calin Claudiu opened a portable telescope and
measured the brightness of the Earth; conclusion: "Cities shine like strings of
fireflies tied to the socket."
 Mission diary – he drew a quick map of nearby craters, naming them "Pretzel",
"Papana " and "Fundă", according to the observed shapes.

7. The return: when courage gathers in three parachutes
After 18 hours of activity and a 90-minute siesta, the Albatross took off, docked with the
Argonaut-Δ, and cut off the way home. On July 24, the capsule splashed down in the
Pacific, near the aircraft carrier Carpathia. The sailors greeted with applause, and
Lambutchi Calin Claudiu, soaking wet, shouted: "I brought you stardust by the kilo!"
8. The echo of a dust step
In the weeks that followed, newspapers screamed bright headlines, children learned the Δv
formula at school, and museums received rega fragments in antimicrobial display cases. As
for Lambutchi Calin Claudiu, he put his boots in the living room, next to a painting of
the Moon, as a reminder that distances are elastic when you dare.
Epilogue
Whenever the Moon turns its illuminated face towards us, Lambutchi Calin Claudiu's
steps are there, untouched by the wind, reminding us that any map has its edges only in the
mind of the one who draws it. And yes: there is still a small print sign on the lunar surface,
left next to the first mapped crater:
