TIECED CONSULTING WHO WE ARE…WHAT WE DO Today, as we look at the news of economic distress and the life conditions of people, along with the hope engendered by the leadership qualities of a new President, we are reminded of the absolute necessity of individuals, students and education systems, and non-profits and businesses to optimize their abilities in accomplishing their declared missions, dreams, goals, and aspirations.  We are happy to do our part by offering education, non-profit and business development consulting services. We are specifically highlighting our Educational Empowerment Program (EEP).
EDUCATIONAL EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM EEP improves access and academic retention amongst historically low income and educationally disadvantaged individuals by enrolling them into university and college systems and providing supportive services to improve their overall quality of life. The EEP goal has been to change the face of education consulting services from middle/upper class families and households to that of individuals and families who would not normally be able to afford an educational consultant.
WHAT IS AN EDUCATION CONSULTANT? An Education Consultant is a skilled professional who provides counseling to help students and families choose a school, college or other program that is a good personal match; one that will foster the students academic growth. An EEP Education Consultant provides coaching, assistance with school and program selection, registration, financial aid and other support services to ensure the students success
YOUR OPPORTUNITY… The Education Empowerment Program is designed to specifically provide a supportive source for those seeking to change their lives and pursue their education. Our team of educational consultants will navigate YOU through the enrollment process, financial aid and other supportive services to keep YOU focused and motivated.
IT IS A FACT… About ½ of students from low income households go to college, compared to 2/3 of middle-income students and 4/5 of students from high-income homes. ~ Inside Higher Education, October 31, 2007 Each year, nearly 2 million low and moderate-income students do not apply for federal financial aid. ~ U.S. Department of Education By age 24, 75% of students from the top-income bracket have earned a degree, while less than 9% of low income students have earned one. ~ U.S. Department of Education Barely 2 in 5 black and Hispanic freshmen earn a bachelors’ degree within 6 years, compared to 60% of white freshmen and 64% of Asian-Americans. ~ Inside Higher Education, October 31, 2007
OUR TARGET POPULATION Historically have come from an ancestry of education failure (flunk/dropout), demotion and/or lack of understanding about local and global educational and career resources available. Historically have been under-represented in higher education and/or have attended schools that have been judged to qualitatively and quantitatively inferior as compared with what is considered necessary for achievement in western society.
OUR SUPPORTIVE SERVICES Health and Wellness Module (Ducks In A Row Level 1) Transitional Housing* Tutoring On-site computer lab Education and Community Resources
OUR ATTRACTION… In 2009, while launching EEP as a pilot project we placed over 120 participants into our program and also provided them with business development education. These individuals registered for our program in droves and provided personal testimonials about our services and training.
OUR EDUCATION PARTNERS Institutions that we introduce our EEP participants to through enrollment will: Offer reasonably priced education at the bachelor, master and doctorate level and online learning. Honor our program, processes and procedures. Demonstrate compassion towards our target population and provide complimentary resources to assist them with seamless enrollment and academic success. Offer a minimum of $500 - $2,500 to students in federal refunds to live on while attending school per term. Do not require SAT testing or entrance exam testing to attend their school.
ALSO WE OFFER… Ducks In A Row Level 2 Business Development Program This program is designed to assist those that seek to start their own business. As an EEP Participant, you are eligible to apply for a scholarship to participate in this program and receive first hand consultation on how to start and maintain a business. The Duck In A Row Book – An organizational development and social entrepreneurship workbook to guide you through the business development process. Habitual Success
