Tips on cutting and mounting work for display
                Cutting and trimming
Make sure there is an even amount of space around the
lettering or image.

When trimming your work, make sure your edges are always
straight.

You can use a ruler to draw where you want to cut with the
trimmer.

Use a trimmer and line up the paper with the edge of the
trimmer.

When double mounting, make sure the edges are the same
amount on all the double mounted work.
Layout
Plan your layout carefully.
 Layout includes:
• Colour and size of font
• Colour of the background
• Headings and subheadings.
• Organising the information into sections
• There should be balance and simplicity.
• Deciding where you want to add
   graphics, photographs, graphs, etc.
• Do not try to present too much detail. Less is more.
• Leaving enough white space - don't clutter the poster, it
should have a clean and simple layout.
• Don’t glue anything down unless you are sure of your
   layout
Information should flow (viewing sequence) by column or by row, as
in the following examples:
Key Information

• For every EXHIBITION, you need to prepare a display board to communicate
    your work to others.

• Organize your information like a newspaper so that your audience can quickly
follow the thread of your inquiry by reading from top to bottom, then left to
    right.

• Use a font size of at least 16 points for the text on your display board, so
that it is easy to read from a few feet away. It's OK to use slightly smaller
fonts for captions on picture and tables.

• The title should be big and easily read from across the room. Choose one
that accurately describes your inquiry, but also grabs peoples' attention.

• A picture speaks a thousand words! Use photos or draw diagrams to present
non-numerical data, to propose models that explain your results, or just to show
the process you went through. But, don't put text on top of photographs or
images. It can be very difficult to read.

Have you constructed your display board as neatly as possible? Yes / No
Did you proofread your display board? Yes / No
