Tittle sequence order 1
- 1. Order of Tittles in Opening Tittle Sequences
- 2. The first image/ name we see is Warner Bros. Which instantly tells the audience this is a high budget, Hollywood motion picture.
- 3. The next text we see is: ’A STANLEY KUBRICK FILM’ This gives us the name of the director and is the first thing we see over the title sequence, suggesting he is one of the most important names for the film.
- 4. The next two names to appear are of well known actors, Jack Nicholson and Shelly Duvall.
- 5. Next we see the tittle: ‘THE SHINNING’ which is shown after two names of actors and the name of the director, suggesting this film is also important not only because o the film but the people involved.
- 7. The next seven names are more actors perhaps with slightly smaller parts, however still featured.
- 8. We then see the executive producers name, which says that ‘JAN HARLAN’ is an important name and had a big impact on the film.
- 9. ‘STEPHEN KING’ the writer of the novel also gets a credit, however he is quite far behind the actors, director and executive producer.
- 10. We see ‘THE PRODUCER CIRCLE COMPANY’ and some smaller credits in smaller writing.
- 11. Next is two names: ‘STANLEY KUBRICK & DIANE JOHNSON’ who wrote the screenplay.
- 12. Finally we see ‘STANLEY KUBRICK’ again for the third time as the producer and director.
