A teacher librarian does much more than just putting books on shelves. They work with classroom teachers to integrate research skills into learning, ensure the library supports all subject areas, and assist all staff in resourcing their teaching. A teacher librarian also helps students discover answers to questions like when, where, who, and why. In addition, they can fix paper jams, provide supplies needed to complete assignments, and recommend great books to read. Without a teacher librarian, it is unclear who would be responsible for these important roles in a child's education.
