Communication plays a central role in health care delivery and public health promotion. Information is the most important resource in health as it guides strategic health behaviors, treatments, and decisions. There are different levels and branches of health communication, including interpersonal, group, organizational, and societal levels as well as health care delivery, health promotion, and various disciplines like communication, psychology, and medicine. Effective health communication reaches people on an emotional level as well as a rational level and relates messages to people's social contexts using a combination of interpersonal and mass media communication approaches.
