In Catalonia we started with a consortium
 
Grey literature under CC
Why only BY-NC-ND?
Fear about copies
Fear about money
But we had already a repository
 
Without the chance of using a CC license
Fear about the unknown
Openness
With doubts and fears
Uncertainty
Should it be legal?

Starting with the previous educational resources
All under CC licenses
And educating the faculty
About rights
About openness
 
Information
Security
Help
And now we have institutional contents
And now we have students' works
And now we have Research
Following the Open Access movement
Self-archiving as much as we can
Combining repository and research information systems
We work within the university
And outside
Now thesis can be uploaded with any license
Universities work together
 
But there is a lot to do
 
Which university do we want?
Why should we share our knowledge?
Why for free?
What about plagiarism?
What about copyright?
What can I take from others?
What can others take from me?
Sharing educates people
Respecting others' rights
As we want ours respected
We need policies
open policies
To show the world who we are
and what we do
 
To show the world we want to share
It is possible
