This survey aims to better understand the reality of how often pregnancies result from rape by gathering data from Minnesota. Currently, the only nationwide statistic estimates the rate of pregnancy from rape is 5% annually, but this number may vary significantly between states. The survey contains triggering questions for sexual assault survivors and provides an opt-out option. It asks individual survivors and representatives of organizations that serve survivors about their demographics, experiences with pregnancy resulting from sexual assault, and interactions with the criminal justice system. The goal is to learn more about how Minnesota women are affected by pregnancies from rape.
