- 2. What is a plan of Ministry? A collaborative discernment process in which the leadership, staff and congregation works together to define Advent’s current purpose A time to open our minds to new ways to do ministry A time to grow a healthy, vibrant congregation that involves all disciples An opportunity to determine where our affections lie An opportunity to determine how we allocate our resources
- 3. What a plan of Ministry is not? A process with the sole purpose of increasing financial pledges A process to push through our own agendas A process in which we do all the talking
- 4. Why do we need a plan of ministry? To remind us of our Mission, Vision & Values To reevaluate how we live out our Mission To keep Advent’s MVV in front of the congregation To focus on our ministries and do them well
- 5. What output our we hoping to accomplish? More energy from the congregation Better communication Cohesiveness within the Spiritual Wheel A common vision that will define how we focus our time, talents and finances

- 12. What is Worship? Worship brings the people of Advent in a common place to join together to Praise God and to be united with one another .
- 13. What is Spiritual Development? Spiritual Development is a lifelong process that brings people in a closer relationship with Christ.
- 14. What is Nurture & Support Nurture and Support is how the people of Advent care for each other and our surroundings.
- 15. What is Outreach? Outreach is our journey outward in loving God and serving Neighbor by serving our neighbors locally, nationally and overseas.
- 16. Leadership Answering the Tough Questions Worship – If we could start over, what current elements of worship would you keep? What would you change? Nurture & Support – List the major components of ministry in our church and list the financial resources devoted to each one.
