Troubleshooting Quick Fixes and Connectivity
Your District TLC (Z:) Drive  Click on "Computer" in your start menu. Click "Map Network Drive" Select the Z: Drive Under "Folder" type in \\admin\tlc$ \\admin\tlc$

Wireless
Check WIFI Connection For Windows 7 - The Basics   Click on Bars     Open Network & Sharing Center     Make sure your LessWires2003 or SUSD Network is Connected
Connection Problems? Is the antenna switch turned on?   What is your signal strength?     Are you connected to LessWires2003?   Are teachers in other classrooms having connection problems?   Have you logged off and tried to reestablish connections? Good Very Bad
For Windows 7 Right Click Bars Open Network & Sharing Center   Click Less Wires 2003 Click on "Wireless Properties" Make sure that the FIRST and the LAST boxes are checked  Check WIFI Permissions
For Windows 7   From the same"Wireless Properties" box, click on the "Securities" tab at the top of the page. Click on the "Advanced  Settings“ button. Make sure that the first button "Specify authentication mode“ is checked. The setting box should list "User or Computer Authentication" Permissions (Con't.)
WIFI - Student Computer Check wireless switch Right Click wireless in taskbar 1. 2.  Still nothing?       Hold Fn key down, push F5 4. Try connecting or  reconnecting to Lesswire2003 3.  
Back-up Plan:  The Ethernet Cable
Missing Files- Teacher Missing drives and files are often the result of connection problems.   You can see if you are missing system drives by clicking "My Computer"   Connections can be repaired by restarting your computer while you are connected to the blue Ethernet cable.
Missing Files - Student Computers For Students, missing  files and programs are often the result of connection problems. Connections can be repaired by restarting your computer while you are connected to the blue Ethernet cable.
Backup your Files!
 
Your Local Disk (C:) Drive  Create a folder for your files by clicking "New Folder". This is where you can store all of the files that you would like to take home. Another option is to use a USB or “flash” drive
USB Eject
USB Eject -Student Computer Click Once on icon Click on "Safely remove mass storage device"
Virus Scan Virus Scan Green means Good Orange DOESN’T always mean Bad.  It may just mean you need an update.
Sound
Sound - Student Computer Right Click on Realtek HD Audio Manager, select Volume Control Make sure "Mute all" is unchecked, adjust volume as needed
Display Buttons Power Button Power Button LOCK Security – equivalent to Ctrl Alt Del Orientation Settings
