Security Information
You are viewing a PDF document (or a print out of that document) that was generated by The Australian National
University and was downloaded by the individual named in the document from a website hosted at The Australian
National University https://certifieddocs.anu.edu.au.
This PDF (or print) is NOT a secure document. It was created from the official document at time of production, but could
have been tampered with since it was downloaded or printed.
Recommendation
The secure original document resides online at The Australian National University. The Australian National University
provides a free and secure online service for recruiters and other third parties to verify the authenticity of official
documents issued to its student and/or graduates. While this service allows students and graduates to control who
sees their information, only authorised officials of The Australian National University can create actual documents. This
the most secure way to verify these documents.
To use the system, you should contact the student or graduate who provided you with this document, and ask them
to log on to the student/graduate area at https://certifieddocs.anu.edu.au and create a Document Share for you using
the secure email delivery as the delivery method (they will need your email address for this). The Document Share is a
generated URL linking back to a secure website at The Australian National University (https://certifieddocs.anu.edu.au).
The Document Share URL will be delivered directly to you by certified email from The Australian National University,
so that you know the URL is legitimate.
When you visit the Document Share URL, you may be required to register with the system. Registration is free and
straightforward, and may be required by the individual named in this document in order to restrict access to their
document for Data Protection reasons. Once you are registered and logged in (or if no registration was required by the
student/graduate), visiting the Document Share URL will cause the document to be verified online and you can be sure
you are viewing the document as it was originally issued by The Australian National University.
Data Protection
This document contains personal information about the individual named in it and may be subject to Data Protection
laws in your jurisdiction. This information may only be used with the consent of the individual named in the document
and for the purposes agreed with the individual. You may not distribute this information to a third party without the prior
consent of the named person.

GPA, previous grades and unit values
ANU calculates GPA on a 7-point scale.
*Indicates a grade is not included in the GPA calculation. For further information including program exclusions, please go to anu.edu.au
The majority of courses offered at ANU are valued at 6 units. The normal maximum load in a semester or half-year is 24 units (normally 4 courses).
Undertaking 18-24 units per half-year is considered a full-time study load. ANU considers 30 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits as
equivalent to 24 ANU units.
In 1994 a uniform grading system was introduced for all coursework students. Since 1994 the mark, as well as the grade obtained, has been disclosed
on the Transcript of Academic Record. Details of grades and codes prior to 1994, prior unit value equivalencies and unit requirements for degree
programs are available at anu.edu.au

Document security
This document is printed using a number of special security features including watermarked paper, microtext printing and University hologram. To
confirm this document is an original, hold the paper up to a light source to view a wavy line image throughout the paper. Additionally, the University
hologram appears on each page of this document, is multicoloured, multilayered and includes the University crest. The absence of any of these
security features may indicate that this document is not an original and should not be accepted as an official University document. Any questions
regarding this document should be made to the Division of Student Administration at anu.edu.au
These explanations are authorised by the Registrar and are current as of 1 January 2015. Subsequent amendments are available at anu.edu.au
