Trust and Go Forward - Francisco C. Xavier - Emmanuel
Trust and Go Forward
Emmanuel
Friendly Reader.
Difficulties and crises?
We know them equally.
Spiritual friends do not petrify the heart.
Those loved ones who preceded you in the Great
Transformation – although in another form – accompany
you on your journey on the Physical Plane, supporting
your strength.
Undeniably, today's world is going through great
individual and collective trials.
The faith that Jesus bequeathed to us, framed in love, is
necessary for everyone so that, united with each other, we
can continue in peace with the progress of intelligence,
protecting our mental safety.
If you have accepted the teachings of the Divine Master,
take the obstacles and conflicts you may find yourself in,
trying to overcome them without complaining or
dismaying...
Trust and go forward.
Disillusionments may have arisen ahead, tearing down
your castles, though don't surrender to discouragement...
Trust and go forward.
Disconnections in the family might have appeared,
bringing you painful surprises, but don't give yourself over
to the invisible flames of anguish...
Trust and go forward.
Losses and compulsory debts compel you to make
sacrifices you didn't expect; however, do not despair and
do not give up...
Trust and go forward.
Misunderstandings haunt you daily; however, do not
freeze in sadness or disenchantment...
Trust and go forward.
This book invites us to follow Jesus' path, trusting in the
victory of good and fulfilling our duty; thus, let's be sure
that we will always be with Jesus, as He is our indefatigable
companion.
EMMANUEL

Fraternal Support
Don't say that this or that individual doesn't need
compassion.
We're not referring to the pity that, when manifested,
makes the unhappy unhappier. We are talking about the
understanding that enables us to comprehend the needs of
the individual and to give them direct or indirect help,
aiming at sustaining their equilibrium in their social
group.
You may come across a strong man in full physical health,
and you probably believe he doesn't require any kind of
support.
However, this friend, supposedly privileged by nature,
asks for sympathy to keep moving in the right direction.
The richly adorned woman you think is happy often
carries heavy disappointments, begging you to help her
bear the burden of suffering to which she is bound.
Those who administer expect the cooperation of those who
share their task, so it is poured out in generalized
assistance for all the creatures it is directed to.
Those who obey ask for as much collaboration as possible
from others, so the suggestions of indiscipline don't disrupt
their lives.
The good requires the encouragement of uplifting ideas
and words so they don't deviate from the path the world
has marked out for them, while the bad require specific
protection to restrain and learn to free themselves from the
forces of cruelty.
Let us reconcile, seeking to communicate through the
better side that we can present in mutual effort, so that the
still rustic part of us be less difficult for the instruments of
life to hone.
So, let's conclude that whatever path we are on, everyone
who crosses our way needs peace and understanding. And,
within the subject, let's note that, when it comes to these
resources, all of us, in whatever position, need and will
need them too.
Matters of War
The Emissaries of Divine Wisdom, together with men, in
order to establish ease and protection, comfort and
security for earthly existence, in the name of God, inspired
human intelligence, inducing it to create inventions and
discoveries.
And men, in response to these gifts, have often used them
in a counterproductive way, in many cases, according to
their own free will.
Men were given dynamite to remove quarries and
obstacles to facilitate communication between people.
Men became scientific about the explosive power of
dynamite and made the bomb that destroyed millions of
lives.
Men were given tractors to stimulate agricultural
progress.
The men observed the strength of the heavy machines and
built the tank to kill.
Men were offered the airplane so that they could easily
overcome distance and time for the benefit of their
interests.
The men took note of the plane's originality and made the
bombers that exterminate defenseless populations.
They were given the gift of radio and television to increase
culture and fraternity among people.
Men studied radio and television, created systems and
codes to guarantee espionage, and formulated artistic
schemes that induced children's minds into crime.
Men have been granted the medicines of peace and relief
capable of the sick.
Men, for the most part, started researching merciful
sedatives and made the toxic drugs that today increase the
rates of madness and delinquency in the world.
Men were presented with atomic disintegration in support
of industry and civilization.
Men recognized the immense potential of the energies in
their hands and developed new weapons of great
destructive power.
Given this, while many diplomats and leaders of Concord
discuss the possibilities of a new war in the West, any
brother uninformed about international problems will be
able to conclude who is to blame.
Charity in Jesus
Remember charity, radiating with the blessings of Christ's
supreme love, so you do not lack understanding and
strength in the edifying cult of human charity.
Cast out in the cold by the very people to whom He came
to bring the light of redemption, He did not hesitate to
welcome Himself to the poor manger in extreme
renunciation.
He does not deny assistance to the sick of all kinds, giving
them joy and balance, movement, and sight.
Seeking out simple teachers and fishermen, He breathes
the light of truth into their being, empowering them all for
the Greater Life.
Faced with the affliction of the crowd that followed Him
restlessly, He multiplied the food to appease their hunger.
Between the insult of the bad and the desertion of the good,
He knows how to surrender in peace without even taking
the law into His own hands.
Overruled in court by an evildoer, He doesn't break down
in complaint.
And, led to death by blows on the cross, far from
reproving, condemning, or hurting, He lifts a sincere
prayer to Eternal Providence, begging forgiveness for his
tormentors.
Charity had always been His companion...
Yet, from beyond the grave, He returns, humbled,
extending His noble hands and a heavenly heart to those
same men who had left Him in supreme abandonment,
exclaiming without sorrow:
- "Truly with you, I am forever, to the end of the ages..."
Given this, always remember that pure charity which
triumphs joyfully, is characterized by perfect love that
forgets all evil and darkness, focusing only on loving,
redeeming, and assisting in the continual spread of
goodness, transforming it into the light.
With Jesus
With Jesus, life takes on new meaning.
Difficulties become blessings.
Pain becomes a joy.
Sadness is the eve of consolation.
Constructive struggle produces tranquility of conscience.
Work is a condition for happiness.
Shadow is the source of light.
Tears are the pearls of sentiment.
Detachment is the path to real possession.
Renunciation is acquisition.
Sacrifice is the road to the heights.
That's why Christmas, wherever it takes place when
creatures are united in the same band of understanding
and human solidarity, will always be the star of love and
hope in every heart.
Master’s Confidence
We are all workers for progress.
We are all destined for perfection.
Commonly, however, we declare ourselves incapable of
doing any task of a spiritual nature that demands
elevation, and we articulate negative responses to requests
and remain at a standstill indefinitely.
However, we must recognize that Jesus, whom we
proclaim to obey, did not think in such a way.
The Lord said: "Let your light shine before men, so they
may see your good works and glorify your Father in
Heaven.
You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.
You will identify the tree by its fruit.
Seek, and you shall find.
Love your enemies.
Pray for those who persecute and slander you.
If someone hurts you on one cheek, offer the other as well.
Accumulate treasures in heaven.
Love one another as I have loved you."
Let's meditate on Christ's statements about us.
It's fair to consider that He didn't ask the impossible of
anyone. And if He appealed to us, calling on us to kindle
the light of living faith, to seek the truth, to amass
conquests of the soul, keep a clear conscience, and love
one another fraternally, it is because we can use goodwill
and constant effort to improve ourselves to serve Him.
Server to Server
Never allow yourself the emptiness of useless sadness on
the path of Good.
Don't dwell on the obstacles on the path.
Reflect on the blessings you have received.
Remember the obstacles you've overcome and think of the
joys that work gives you.
You woke up early to fight for your own survival and
frequently accompanied friends in the tribulations they
faced, sharing their pain.
Work, however, has supported you in every crisis,
bringing you other friends who pruned your worries and
restored your dilapidated strength so that you wouldn't fall
apart.
You prayed in difficult moments, begging for the support
of the Greater Life, and through work, devoted arms
became channels of support for you, sustaining your steps
along the way.
Never surrender to the temptation of unnecessary rest, nor
take advice with discouragement, since in your areas of
service, you will always find everything you need most to
move forward.
Honor the tasks that honor you and, above all, thank work
for everything that one day you may have or be better, for
it is in the work of doing good to your neighbor that you
will have at any time, your safest address for God's help.
Daily
Don't cling to the literal expression of Jesus' lesson when
He tells us to seek out unhappy brothers and sisters every
time we're at the head of a copious table.
You won't always be able to bring together fellow
strugglers in festive agapes; however, it is imperative to
remember that the Sun, every day, unveils to your
existence a whole banquet of sovereign joy.
Every morning, you stretch out your arms in the exaltation
of warmth and life, you think with just discernment; you
use the verb to express your most intimate desires, and
above all, you can extend your feelings in the form of
affection and understanding.
Remember those who are lame in their thinking, hungry
for understanding, desperate in spirit, imprisoned by
affliction, tortured by ignorance, maimed by the soul,
cripples of faith, and beggars of light.
Do not turn away from them on the pretext of preserving
virtue, nor refuse them a place at the table of your love.
They are flowers that the fire of passions crested in the
earth's soil before they could bear fruit in the best dreams,
harps broken on the world's paths before benevolent and
wise hands could pluck the melody of eternal beauty from
them. More than your peers, they are waiting for you to
help them rebuild before the Blessings of Heaven.
Rise to the fire of dawn, offering the less happy a meal of
your consolations, and when dusk comes to close your
eyes, you will fall asleep, exultant in peace, in the invisible
arms of the Eternal Friend, who transformed His cross into
a pillar of hope and forgiveness to rise to, in supreme
victory, to the heart of the stars.
Divine Faith
Let's see how Jesus behaved in dealing with the faith that
burned in His heart so that we don't lack understanding
when it is about cultivating this sublime virtue.
An Angel among Angels, He did not disdain to descend into
the midst of men, more to suffer their brutality rather than
to be dazzled with the laurels of sympathy and
understanding they could offer Him.
And among men, no one surprises Him with the slightest
gesture of intolerance before the problems imposed on His
banner of redemption.
He doesn't demand that others adopt His book of trust.
He wastes no time in controversies about the essence and
attributes of God's nature.
He doesn't become the Creator's supposed advocate to
curse or hurt the creatures hardened in delinquency.
He doesn't inquire about the religious convictions of those
who ask Him for assistance and consolation.
He doesn't prescribe conditions of this or that kind, in
terms of belief, for the light of the Gospel.
He doesn't set Himself up as a prophet of destruction and
pessimism, combining revelation with disturbance,
knowledge, and terror in the listener's mind.
He does not ask for advantages, always helping without
occupying Himself with self-supporting.
He does not promote links with the princes and priests of
the world to promote the principles of love of which He
had become an interpreter.
He doesn't refuse to suffer aggravation, insults, slander,
and imprisonment from those to whom He had entrusted
the treasure of His purest hopes on the pretext of
guaranteeing His position of Heavenly Mediator.
And finally, don't even resort to the protection of human
justice to exonerate Himself from the cross on which He
faints between serenity and forgiveness in the fullness of
His obedience.
Let's observe faith in Jesus and faith in ourselves to exercise
in our evolution, forgetting our obscure whims and
accepting the wise Will of Our Father.
Hidden Source
In today's world, medicines alienate the forces of the mind,
pushing them towards prostration, but not real
tranquility.
Today's people have machines that help them gain time,
but not calmness before the trials necessary for them.
On the other hand, moneyed fortunes, when not directed
towards uplifting work and doing good for others, are
likely to cause permanent unrest.
In the same vein, power force, despite the advantages it
can create in community life is almost always a storehouse
of anxieties and misunderstandings.
Peace, therefore, so ardently sought, is comparable to a
canopy, interwoven with fragments of joy, such as:
The return of a loved one absent for a long time;
The readjustment of organic balance;
The satisfaction of debts paid;
The embrace of a friend;
A letter, a messenger of comfort;
A few moments spent with nature;
The sight of blue in the sky;
The presence of a child;
Someone's smile;
The affection of an animal that shares our environment;
Moments of prayer.
The peace one can never buy is an inner light that clears
the way to find the best God has reserved for us.
However, let us be convinced that in the foundations of a
tranquil conscience, where peace is born, lies the hidden
source of patience.
The Imperative of Faith
Some say that there are people who have absolutely no
faith.
It is an indispensable agent in the simplest processes of
existence.
A companion in this condition may not yet be able to
assimilate trust in the Divine Laws that govern us but will
not be able to dispense with faith in the traffic of hours.
Even if they don't realize it, such a friend will use faith in
the silliest tasks that concern them.
They will trust the driver whose work they use to gain time
and distance; they'll believe in the bank that preserves
their savings, whose boss they won't always be able to
shake hands with.
They'll go to the doctor whenever they need to readjust
their health.
They will trust the laboratory that provides them with the
medication to rebalance their organic energies and believe
in the hygiene and experience of those who prepare their
food.
It's pointless for this or that person to claim to be entirely
without faith, for without trusting in someone or believing
in the value of some resources, no one can live.
Justice and Love
All of life's values require extension and yield to meet the
Eternal Balance in the foundations of the Universe.
If gold requires a fair application, high knowledge also
requires substance and profit.
If the first, accumulated uselessly, generates the greed that
holds the head of the miser in the madness of ephemeral
possession, the second, kept without action in edifying
works, creates the vanity that plunges the proud heart into
the darkness of the spirit.
It's not enough to understand the statute that governs our
destinies to harmonize with ourselves.
You must transfuse your understanding in service to
others so that the flame of your brain becomes light on
your path.
Don't spend too long studying the suffering brother's
record, gauging his merits and demerits so that you can
then express the kindness you have theorized.
First, remember that if your neighbor experiences trial and
bitterness as determined by the Excellency of Justice, the
screen of anguish in which your neighbor struggles are
opened to the eyes of the world by the determination of
Divine Love so that these eyes may exercise piety and
cooperation, fraternal help, and spontaneous solidarity.
Don't forget that no soul, while in the garment of the flesh,
will be able to know the full content of its debts and help
others when you can, even though you know that the
prodigy of compulsory redemption is impossible since
tomorrow will also come your day of the major settlement
in the Divine Accounts.
Don't give up on supporting through good, for if progress
and happiness on Earth requested only entering into the
knowledge of the Law and the simple understanding of
our faults, Jesus would certainly not be shaken by
extending loving hands among men, supporting our
ignorance, our debts and weaknesses, to the point of self-
immolation on the cross.
All He had to do was send us the Good News of Redemption
on propaganda posters hanging in Heaven.
Light of Life
Man has indeed reached the pinnacle.
He discovered the heat and moved on to the automobile, a
champion of speed, but he doesn't dispense with the
collaboration of someone to guide the traffic and protect
vehicles.
He started in the science of flight and went into
astronautics, investigating the Cosmic Kingdom. However,
he needs a home on the planet's crust to recover and live
in his own environment.
He tried his hand at war surgery and conquered the
surgical technique of today, in which he obtained the
prodigy of transplants. Still, he cannot do without the
nursing care needed to eliminate possible unfortunate
occurrences.
He has created machines that give him more time to
imagine. Yet, he needs the protection of those determined
to educate him to understand the purposes of his existence
on Earth.
In every corner of the world, the achievements of
intelligence are still shining like luminous pinnacles, but
in the valleys of the world, suicide and delinquency,
obsession, and hatred are still a long way from being
eradicated.
That's why, everywhere, charity, symbolically expressing
the presence of God, is the force of Good in the deficiencies
that still mark us all - the evolving spirits - or more
properly, the light of life, ensuring peace and hope, love
and understanding, in all our processes of relationship and
solidarity, without which the noblest acquisitions of
humankind would be plunged into darkness.
Living Monuments of Faith
Loving without demanding compensation.
Collaborating for the good in places where it seems solidly
established.
Always hoping for the best, even in the worst situations.
Understanding the collaborators in the tasks we are
involved in when they move away from us. We should
provide them with peace of mind through our expressions
of sympathy and understanding so they can feel free of any
obligations.
Suffering and crying when the trials of life lead us to do
so.
Nevertheless, we ought to continue working and serving
always.
Forgiving offenses, sure that other's mistakes could be
ours.
Avoid complaining about anyone.
Respect the freedom of others.
Blessing and helping, without demands, all those who do
not accept our principles or think on our own.
Repeating this or that service indefinitely, with total
oblivious to our interests.
We know that the progress of science on Earth today has
raised admirable machines and achievements that
astonish community life. Nonetheless, we must not forget
that faith builds prodigies in the field of feelings; prodigies
that we can't buy in supermarkets, nor can we ask from
the most efficient computer.
On the Path to Renewal
Christ said: "I have not come to destroy the Law."
We also, the disincarnate friends, are not among men to
fight against their faith.
Many people accept the light of the New Revelation,
keeping it in the vinegar of intemperance as if the truth
were a fulminating ray for the ruin of the world. Using the
dark lens of pessimism, they fall apart every hour between
complaint and bitterness, identifying evils and clouds,
wounds and desertions everywhere.
Today, Revived Christianity is the sun in our souls, helping
us to see and serve.
Among us, the religious principle is not confined to the
profession of faith, expressed in a pure and simple
confession.
In addition to the word that expresses a thought, it is also
an action that reflects life.
That is why all our preaching must begin with ourselves,
through study that broadens our mental horizon and
service that gives us experience.
It's of no use locating conviction in sterile conflicts.
Frequently, the verbal offensive, cultured and brilliant,
isn't more than beautiful and forceful phrases like
hailstones raining down on a promising crop.
If you have already woken up to the light of the Living
Gospel, don't forget that Heaven invites you to understand
and help.
Purify your words in the living fountains of love that pour
from your heart so that injustice does not rule your path.
Christ sculpted in Himself the light of the message He was
bringing, surrendering to love and humility, work, and
sacrifice.
Following His example, let us also keep our faith without
any violence towards others and seek to stamp it on the
struggle of each day, aware that our neighbor will receive
the call that shines from us.
At Serious Moments
Faced with some disappointment that makes you lose your
incentive to work...
Faced with the uncertainty that visits you, pointing out the
temptations and risks that threaten you...
In the face of unforeseen changes that force you to think
and deliberate without the affective support you no longer
count on...
With destructive criticism that induces you to give up
cooperating in the workshop of good works...
With loved ones who leave you alone, without pity for
your thirst and need for companionship...
With thoughtless words from esteemed people that make
you plunge into the pit of bitterness...
With a sick and dejected body that casts your thoughts into
the desert of sadness and insecurity...
When death silences the voices of your loved ones...
When any suffering shakes the recesses of your soul, give
yourself over to faith, take refuge in God, think of God,
trust in God, and wait for God, for above all storms and
falls, tribulations, and disappointments, God will sustain
you.
Reflecting Together
Undeniably, the sterile preoccupation with death on the
physical plane is an unnecessary subject in our life's
activities.
Nevertheless, that is not the case concerning the time
available to the individual in the limited space of
reincarnation.
We refer to this contrast to emphasize the importance of
the good we must do within the framework of hours.
Let's reflect on this and, when it becomes possible, don't
postpone the realization of your purpose of adjusting
everything on your path to the imperatives of a calm and
happy conscience.
If you keep the project of building to help the suffering
little ones, start by helping this or that child in need of
support.
If you want to set up a large aid establishment for destitute
mothers, start by protecting one of our sisters in the
maternity ward of sacrifice.
If you plan to set up works to help our elderly brothers and
sisters, from the point of view of earthly existence,
encourage yourself to support a companion whom time
and illness have disabled from working, forgotten in the
rear of suffering.
If you wish to extend your heart in a gift to a particular
friend, do it without delay.
If you have problems with your family and want to resolve
them, use patience and affection.
If you have problems with your family and set out to
resolve them, use patience and affection, taking the
pacification initiative quickly.
If any mistakes emerge from your personal experiences of
the past days, approach those who consider themselves
your enemies and apologize, even if it costs you
disappointment and tears.
Through the best you can do toward your neighbor, seek
peace with yourself. And don't believe that our words
contain any alarm or note of pessimism.
If you can recognize different situations and opportunities
for personal growth that life presents to you, regardless of
your age, strive to do everything good that life requires of
you, as you should believe that the present is always later
than you think.
Amendments
On Earth, we often wait until we are disincarnated to enter
paradise, forgetting in the neighborhood the opportunity
to build Heaven by establishing real fraternity.
On many occasions, we sigh for the presence of angels,
refusing the most intimate compassion and kindness for
the benefit of others.
We usually ask for divine support without giving up a
millimeter of our comfort and often claim the blessing of
spiritual instructors, closing the door of our souls to those
who beg us for understanding and forgiveness.
It is essential, however, to remember that no one needs to
die in the flesh to resurface in attitude.
Every morning, the reborn sun teaches us, in silence, that
life begins every day, and that every day, we can remake
our destiny by voluntarily amending our mistakes.
Let us learn to shed light on our inner selves through noble
study and to correct our evils through the service of
constant good.
Let us know how to build, according to clear and simple
love, and we will realize, at each moment, our opportunity
to cooperate in favor of others.
Set yourself to such a task, and you will find in the field
where you journey but companions of hope and struggle,
begging for your heart.
They swarm here and there, afflicted and unhappy, even
when they appear to you to be dominated by pride or
weakened by the truth. Don't aggravate their pain by
extending the shadows that darken their hours. Flee the
reproach that annihilates, avoid sarcasm that poisons, the
demand that disfigures, and abstain from the accusation
that devastates...
Remember that we all must help so that we can be helped.
And by incessantly amending the harm caused by others,
you will be restoring your path, which, cleansed and
renewed, will allow the light of eternal good to pass
through to your aid, which no one can do without on their
ascent to God.
Temptation
We are tempted by the external forces of life, according to
our needs of internal purification.
This means that each creature suffers temptation
according to its nature.
What happens in the realms of nature, where fire does not
feed on water, but rather the fuel that suits its way of
being, in the realm of the spirit, each of us combines only
with the energies that resemble our own.
That is why we are usually reborn on the physical plane,
carrying along our shortcomings and domestic problems
that require extinction or adjustment.
Spirits; given over to usury and cruelty, in many
circumstances, reappear in the cradle of gold, once again
experiencing the temptation of stinginess and pride to
overcome them, and souls crystallized in revolt and
indiscipline in impoverished homes, once again, going
through the temptation of despair and delinquency to
overcome them sufficiently.
We come together through the consanguineous family,
often with our deepest aversions, to transform them into
pure love, at the price of forgiveness and service, devotion
and renunciation. In every frame of human struggle, we
are faced with harsh trials that speak to our own needs, so
that, in the sublime victory over ourselves, we know how
to seek the heights of life.
Don't think you're simply being tempted by others to go
down the cliff of darkness.
We are those who, by stretching out the thread of desire,
attract to our detriment or in our favor, the companions
who will add to our strength for the fall into the shadows
or to ascend to the Divine Light.
Transformations
We are all aware of the transformations taking place on
Earth.
And there are many of them:
Intensive industrial progress;
Achievements in the atomic realm;
Competitive struggles for greater efficiency in the field of
weapons;
The legalization of abortion in many countries;
Genetic research;
Juvenile delinquency surpasses adult criminality;
Excessive freedom without discipline and so-called rights
without corresponding obligations.
And the expansion of violence...
All these transformations take place through the free will
of man, who is proud of the civilization he is inventing
with the full support of materialist science.
However, it is relevant to remember that God is at work,
and whatever human intelligence sows in the world that
belongs to God, it will reap too.
Use and Abuse
Someone once said that God created human beings by
giving them the tools with which they can build the paths
of their evolution.
We all have these resources on Earth to achieve our
improvement and conquer our happiness.
Using and not abusing these concessions are the symbolic
levers necessary for balance.
Let's turn to the living teachings of nature.
Man uses the plow to till the soil, not to invest in the
existence of others.
He relies on the scissors to cut, not to hurt anyone.
It's the same with the physical body that serves as our
temporary housing in the material world.
You use your mental energies to create good, not to plan
evil.
Man has the voice mechanism to speak by educating and
building, not to cause disturbance and suffering in the
paths of others.
One has the prodigy of the eye to see and discern, not to
sift through the debris and bitterness that may appear on
someone's way.
Man loads the stomach to help sustain himself, not to stuff
it with unnecessary food, establishing imbalances in the
organic field.
All the possibilities of existence are granted or lent by God
to the individual, enabling them to promote the solution of
their own needs, but not to harm the interests and feelings
of anyone else.
Briefly. The Creator established the means of elevation to
help everyone learn in the earthly school. That's why using
or abusing the Lord's concessions is a relevant subject for
everyone.
Choices are options.
Surely, for this reason, summarizing the laws of the
Universe that govern us everywhere, the information of
divine origin states that, on the paths of life, "Each of us
will be given according to our deeds."

Trust and Go Forward - Francisco C. Xavier - Emmanuel

  • 2. Trust and Go Forward Emmanuel Friendly Reader. Difficulties and crises? We know them equally. Spiritual friends do not petrify the heart. Those loved ones who preceded you in the Great Transformation – although in another form – accompany you on your journey on the Physical Plane, supporting your strength. Undeniably, today's world is going through great individual and collective trials. The faith that Jesus bequeathed to us, framed in love, is necessary for everyone so that, united with each other, we can continue in peace with the progress of intelligence, protecting our mental safety. If you have accepted the teachings of the Divine Master, take the obstacles and conflicts you may find yourself in, trying to overcome them without complaining or dismaying... Trust and go forward. Disillusionments may have arisen ahead, tearing down your castles, though don't surrender to discouragement... Trust and go forward. Disconnections in the family might have appeared, bringing you painful surprises, but don't give yourself over to the invisible flames of anguish...
  • 3. Trust and go forward. Losses and compulsory debts compel you to make sacrifices you didn't expect; however, do not despair and do not give up... Trust and go forward. Misunderstandings haunt you daily; however, do not freeze in sadness or disenchantment... Trust and go forward. This book invites us to follow Jesus' path, trusting in the victory of good and fulfilling our duty; thus, let's be sure that we will always be with Jesus, as He is our indefatigable companion. EMMANUEL Uberaba, March 5, 1984.
  • 4. Fraternal Support Don't say that this or that individual doesn't need compassion. We're not referring to the pity that, when manifested, makes the unhappy unhappier. We are talking about the understanding that enables us to comprehend the needs of the individual and to give them direct or indirect help, aiming at sustaining their equilibrium in their social group. You may come across a strong man in full physical health, and you probably believe he doesn't require any kind of support. However, this friend, supposedly privileged by nature, asks for sympathy to keep moving in the right direction. The richly adorned woman you think is happy often carries heavy disappointments, begging you to help her bear the burden of suffering to which she is bound. Those who administer expect the cooperation of those who share their task, so it is poured out in generalized assistance for all the creatures it is directed to. Those who obey ask for as much collaboration as possible from others, so the suggestions of indiscipline don't disrupt their lives. The good requires the encouragement of uplifting ideas and words so they don't deviate from the path the world has marked out for them, while the bad require specific protection to restrain and learn to free themselves from the forces of cruelty. Let us reconcile, seeking to communicate through the better side that we can present in mutual effort, so that the
  • 5. still rustic part of us be less difficult for the instruments of life to hone. So, let's conclude that whatever path we are on, everyone who crosses our way needs peace and understanding. And, within the subject, let's note that, when it comes to these resources, all of us, in whatever position, need and will need them too.
  • 6. Matters of War The Emissaries of Divine Wisdom, together with men, in order to establish ease and protection, comfort and security for earthly existence, in the name of God, inspired human intelligence, inducing it to create inventions and discoveries. And men, in response to these gifts, have often used them in a counterproductive way, in many cases, according to their own free will. Men were given dynamite to remove quarries and obstacles to facilitate communication between people. Men became scientific about the explosive power of dynamite and made the bomb that destroyed millions of lives. Men were given tractors to stimulate agricultural progress. The men observed the strength of the heavy machines and built the tank to kill. Men were offered the airplane so that they could easily overcome distance and time for the benefit of their interests. The men took note of the plane's originality and made the bombers that exterminate defenseless populations. They were given the gift of radio and television to increase culture and fraternity among people. Men studied radio and television, created systems and codes to guarantee espionage, and formulated artistic schemes that induced children's minds into crime.
  • 7. Men have been granted the medicines of peace and relief capable of the sick. Men, for the most part, started researching merciful sedatives and made the toxic drugs that today increase the rates of madness and delinquency in the world. Men were presented with atomic disintegration in support of industry and civilization. Men recognized the immense potential of the energies in their hands and developed new weapons of great destructive power. Given this, while many diplomats and leaders of Concord discuss the possibilities of a new war in the West, any brother uninformed about international problems will be able to conclude who is to blame.
  • 8. Charity in Jesus Remember charity, radiating with the blessings of Christ's supreme love, so you do not lack understanding and strength in the edifying cult of human charity. Cast out in the cold by the very people to whom He came to bring the light of redemption, He did not hesitate to welcome Himself to the poor manger in extreme renunciation. He does not deny assistance to the sick of all kinds, giving them joy and balance, movement, and sight. Seeking out simple teachers and fishermen, He breathes the light of truth into their being, empowering them all for the Greater Life. Faced with the affliction of the crowd that followed Him restlessly, He multiplied the food to appease their hunger. Between the insult of the bad and the desertion of the good, He knows how to surrender in peace without even taking the law into His own hands. Overruled in court by an evildoer, He doesn't break down in complaint. And, led to death by blows on the cross, far from reproving, condemning, or hurting, He lifts a sincere prayer to Eternal Providence, begging forgiveness for his tormentors. Charity had always been His companion... Yet, from beyond the grave, He returns, humbled, extending His noble hands and a heavenly heart to those same men who had left Him in supreme abandonment, exclaiming without sorrow:
  • 9. - "Truly with you, I am forever, to the end of the ages..." Given this, always remember that pure charity which triumphs joyfully, is characterized by perfect love that forgets all evil and darkness, focusing only on loving, redeeming, and assisting in the continual spread of goodness, transforming it into the light.
  • 10. With Jesus With Jesus, life takes on new meaning. That's why Christmas, wherever it takes place when creatures are united in the same band of understanding and human solidarity, will always be the star of love and hope in every heart.
  • 11. Master’s Confidence We are all workers for progress. We are all destined for perfection. Commonly, however, we declare ourselves incapable of doing any task of a spiritual nature that demands elevation, and we articulate negative responses to requests and remain at a standstill indefinitely. However, we must recognize that Jesus, whom we proclaim to obey, did not think in such a way. The Lord said: "Let your light shine before men, so they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. You will identify the tree by its fruit. Seek, and you shall find. Love your enemies. Pray for those who persecute and slander you. If someone hurts you on one cheek, offer the other as well. Accumulate treasures in heaven. Love one another as I have loved you." Let's meditate on Christ's statements about us. It's fair to consider that He didn't ask the impossible of anyone. And if He appealed to us, calling on us to kindle the light of living faith, to seek the truth, to amass conquests of the soul, keep a clear conscience, and love one another fraternally, it is because we can use goodwill and constant effort to improve ourselves to serve Him.
  • 12. Server to Server Never allow yourself the emptiness of useless sadness on the path of Good. Don't dwell on the obstacles on the path. Reflect on the blessings you have received. Remember the obstacles you've overcome and think of the joys that work gives you. You woke up early to fight for your own survival and frequently accompanied friends in the tribulations they faced, sharing their pain. Work, however, has supported you in every crisis, bringing you other friends who pruned your worries and restored your dilapidated strength so that you wouldn't fall apart. You prayed in difficult moments, begging for the support of the Greater Life, and through work, devoted arms became channels of support for you, sustaining your steps along the way. Never surrender to the temptation of unnecessary rest, nor take advice with discouragement, since in your areas of service, you will always find everything you need most to move forward. Honor the tasks that honor you and, above all, thank work for everything that one day you may have or be better, for it is in the work of doing good to your neighbor that you will have at any time, your safest address for God's help.
  • 13. Daily Don't cling to the literal expression of Jesus' lesson when He tells us to seek out unhappy brothers and sisters every time we're at the head of a copious table. You won't always be able to bring together fellow strugglers in festive agapes; however, it is imperative to remember that the Sun, every day, unveils to your existence a whole banquet of sovereign joy. Every morning, you stretch out your arms in the exaltation of warmth and life, you think with just discernment; you use the verb to express your most intimate desires, and above all, you can extend your feelings in the form of affection and understanding. Remember those who are lame in their thinking, hungry for understanding, desperate in spirit, imprisoned by affliction, tortured by ignorance, maimed by the soul, cripples of faith, and beggars of light. Do not turn away from them on the pretext of preserving virtue, nor refuse them a place at the table of your love. They are flowers that the fire of passions crested in the earth's soil before they could bear fruit in the best dreams, harps broken on the world's paths before benevolent and wise hands could pluck the melody of eternal beauty from them. More than your peers, they are waiting for you to help them rebuild before the Blessings of Heaven. Rise to the fire of dawn, offering the less happy a meal of your consolations, and when dusk comes to close your eyes, you will fall asleep, exultant in peace, in the invisible arms of the Eternal Friend, who transformed His cross into a pillar of hope and forgiveness to rise to, in supreme victory, to the heart of the stars.
  • 14. Divine Faith Let's see how Jesus behaved in dealing with the faith that burned in His heart so that we don't lack understanding when it is about cultivating this sublime virtue. An Angel among Angels, He did not disdain to descend into the midst of men, more to suffer their brutality rather than to be dazzled with the laurels of sympathy and understanding they could offer Him. And among men, no one surprises Him with the slightest gesture of intolerance before the problems imposed on His banner of redemption. He doesn't demand that others adopt His book of trust. He wastes no time in controversies about the essence and attributes of God's nature. He doesn't become the Creator's supposed advocate to curse or hurt the creatures hardened in delinquency. He doesn't inquire about the religious convictions of those who ask Him for assistance and consolation. He doesn't prescribe conditions of this or that kind, in terms of belief, for the light of the Gospel. He doesn't set Himself up as a prophet of destruction and pessimism, combining revelation with disturbance, knowledge, and terror in the listener's mind. He does not ask for advantages, always helping without occupying Himself with self-supporting. He does not promote links with the princes and priests of the world to promote the principles of love of which He had become an interpreter.
  • 15. He doesn't refuse to suffer aggravation, insults, slander, and imprisonment from those to whom He had entrusted the treasure of His purest hopes on the pretext of guaranteeing His position of Heavenly Mediator. And finally, don't even resort to the protection of human justice to exonerate Himself from the cross on which He faints between serenity and forgiveness in the fullness of His obedience. Let's observe faith in Jesus and faith in ourselves to exercise in our evolution, forgetting our obscure whims and accepting the wise Will of Our Father.
  • 16. Hidden Source In today's world, medicines alienate the forces of the mind, pushing them towards prostration, but not real tranquility. Today's people have machines that help them gain time, but not calmness before the trials necessary for them. On the other hand, moneyed fortunes, when not directed towards uplifting work and doing good for others, are likely to cause permanent unrest. In the same vein, power force, despite the advantages it can create in community life is almost always a storehouse of anxieties and misunderstandings. Peace, therefore, so ardently sought, is comparable to a canopy, interwoven with fragments of joy, such as: The return of a loved one absent for a long time; The readjustment of organic balance; The satisfaction of debts paid; The embrace of a friend; A letter, a messenger of comfort; A few moments spent with nature; The sight of blue in the sky; The presence of a child; Someone's smile; The affection of an animal that shares our environment; Moments of prayer. The peace one can never buy is an inner light that clears the way to find the best God has reserved for us.
  • 17. However, let us be convinced that in the foundations of a tranquil conscience, where peace is born, lies the hidden source of patience.
  • 18. The Imperative of Faith Some say that there are people who have absolutely no faith. It is an indispensable agent in the simplest processes of existence. A companion in this condition may not yet be able to assimilate trust in the Divine Laws that govern us but will not be able to dispense with faith in the traffic of hours. Even if they don't realize it, such a friend will use faith in the silliest tasks that concern them. They will trust the driver whose work they use to gain time and distance; they'll believe in the bank that preserves their savings, whose boss they won't always be able to shake hands with. They'll go to the doctor whenever they need to readjust their health. They will trust the laboratory that provides them with the medication to rebalance their organic energies and believe in the hygiene and experience of those who prepare their food. It's pointless for this or that person to claim to be entirely without faith, for without trusting in someone or believing in the value of some resources, no one can live.
  • 19. Justice and Love All of life's values require extension and yield to meet the Eternal Balance in the foundations of the Universe. If gold requires a fair application, high knowledge also requires substance and profit. If the first, accumulated uselessly, generates the greed that holds the head of the miser in the madness of ephemeral possession, the second, kept without action in edifying works, creates the vanity that plunges the proud heart into the darkness of the spirit. It's not enough to understand the statute that governs our destinies to harmonize with ourselves. You must transfuse your understanding in service to others so that the flame of your brain becomes light on your path. Don't spend too long studying the suffering brother's record, gauging his merits and demerits so that you can then express the kindness you have theorized. First, remember that if your neighbor experiences trial and bitterness as determined by the Excellency of Justice, the screen of anguish in which your neighbor struggles are opened to the eyes of the world by the determination of Divine Love so that these eyes may exercise piety and cooperation, fraternal help, and spontaneous solidarity. Don't forget that no soul, while in the garment of the flesh, will be able to know the full content of its debts and help others when you can, even though you know that the prodigy of compulsory redemption is impossible since tomorrow will also come your day of the major settlement in the Divine Accounts.
  • 20. Don't give up on supporting through good, for if progress and happiness on Earth requested only entering into the knowledge of the Law and the simple understanding of our faults, Jesus would certainly not be shaken by extending loving hands among men, supporting our ignorance, our debts and weaknesses, to the point of self- immolation on the cross. All He had to do was send us the Good News of Redemption on propaganda posters hanging in Heaven.
  • 21. Light of Life Man has indeed reached the pinnacle. He discovered the heat and moved on to the automobile, a champion of speed, but he doesn't dispense with the collaboration of someone to guide the traffic and protect vehicles. He started in the science of flight and went into astronautics, investigating the Cosmic Kingdom. However, he needs a home on the planet's crust to recover and live in his own environment. He tried his hand at war surgery and conquered the surgical technique of today, in which he obtained the prodigy of transplants. Still, he cannot do without the nursing care needed to eliminate possible unfortunate occurrences. He has created machines that give him more time to imagine. Yet, he needs the protection of those determined to educate him to understand the purposes of his existence on Earth. In every corner of the world, the achievements of intelligence are still shining like luminous pinnacles, but in the valleys of the world, suicide and delinquency, obsession, and hatred are still a long way from being eradicated. That's why, everywhere, charity, symbolically expressing the presence of God, is the force of Good in the deficiencies that still mark us all - the evolving spirits - or more properly, the light of life, ensuring peace and hope, love and understanding, in all our processes of relationship and solidarity, without which the noblest acquisitions of humankind would be plunged into darkness.
  • 22. Living Monuments of Faith Loving without demanding compensation. Collaborating for the good in places where it seems solidly established. Always hoping for the best, even in the worst situations. Understanding the collaborators in the tasks we are involved in when they move away from us. We should provide them with peace of mind through our expressions of sympathy and understanding so they can feel free of any obligations. Suffering and crying when the trials of life lead us to do so. Nevertheless, we ought to continue working and serving always. Forgiving offenses, sure that other's mistakes could be ours. Avoid complaining about anyone. Respect the freedom of others. Blessing and helping, without demands, all those who do not accept our principles or think on our own. Repeating this or that service indefinitely, with total oblivious to our interests. We know that the progress of science on Earth today has raised admirable machines and achievements that astonish community life. Nonetheless, we must not forget that faith builds prodigies in the field of feelings; prodigies that we can't buy in supermarkets, nor can we ask from the most efficient computer.
  • 23. On the Path to Renewal Christ said: "I have not come to destroy the Law." We also, the disincarnate friends, are not among men to fight against their faith. Many people accept the light of the New Revelation, keeping it in the vinegar of intemperance as if the truth were a fulminating ray for the ruin of the world. Using the dark lens of pessimism, they fall apart every hour between complaint and bitterness, identifying evils and clouds, wounds and desertions everywhere. Today, Revived Christianity is the sun in our souls, helping us to see and serve. Among us, the religious principle is not confined to the profession of faith, expressed in a pure and simple confession. In addition to the word that expresses a thought, it is also an action that reflects life. That is why all our preaching must begin with ourselves, through study that broadens our mental horizon and service that gives us experience. It's of no use locating conviction in sterile conflicts. Frequently, the verbal offensive, cultured and brilliant, isn't more than beautiful and forceful phrases like hailstones raining down on a promising crop. If you have already woken up to the light of the Living Gospel, don't forget that Heaven invites you to understand and help. Purify your words in the living fountains of love that pour from your heart so that injustice does not rule your path.
  • 24. Christ sculpted in Himself the light of the message He was bringing, surrendering to love and humility, work, and sacrifice. Following His example, let us also keep our faith without any violence towards others and seek to stamp it on the struggle of each day, aware that our neighbor will receive the call that shines from us.
  • 25. At Serious Moments Faced with some disappointment that makes you lose your incentive to work... Faced with the uncertainty that visits you, pointing out the temptations and risks that threaten you... In the face of unforeseen changes that force you to think and deliberate without the affective support you no longer count on... With destructive criticism that induces you to give up cooperating in the workshop of good works... With loved ones who leave you alone, without pity for your thirst and need for companionship... With thoughtless words from esteemed people that make you plunge into the pit of bitterness... With a sick and dejected body that casts your thoughts into the desert of sadness and insecurity... When death silences the voices of your loved ones... When any suffering shakes the recesses of your soul, give yourself over to faith, take refuge in God, think of God, trust in God, and wait for God, for above all storms and falls, tribulations, and disappointments, God will sustain you.
  • 26. Reflecting Together Undeniably, the sterile preoccupation with death on the physical plane is an unnecessary subject in our life's activities. Nevertheless, that is not the case concerning the time available to the individual in the limited space of reincarnation. We refer to this contrast to emphasize the importance of the good we must do within the framework of hours. Let's reflect on this and, when it becomes possible, don't postpone the realization of your purpose of adjusting everything on your path to the imperatives of a calm and happy conscience. If you keep the project of building to help the suffering little ones, start by helping this or that child in need of support. If you want to set up a large aid establishment for destitute mothers, start by protecting one of our sisters in the maternity ward of sacrifice. If you plan to set up works to help our elderly brothers and sisters, from the point of view of earthly existence, encourage yourself to support a companion whom time and illness have disabled from working, forgotten in the rear of suffering. If you wish to extend your heart in a gift to a particular friend, do it without delay. If you have problems with your family and want to resolve them, use patience and affection.
  • 27. If you have problems with your family and set out to resolve them, use patience and affection, taking the pacification initiative quickly. If any mistakes emerge from your personal experiences of the past days, approach those who consider themselves your enemies and apologize, even if it costs you disappointment and tears. Through the best you can do toward your neighbor, seek peace with yourself. And don't believe that our words contain any alarm or note of pessimism. If you can recognize different situations and opportunities for personal growth that life presents to you, regardless of your age, strive to do everything good that life requires of you, as you should believe that the present is always later than you think.
  • 28. Amendments On Earth, we often wait until we are disincarnated to enter paradise, forgetting in the neighborhood the opportunity to build Heaven by establishing real fraternity. On many occasions, we sigh for the presence of angels, refusing the most intimate compassion and kindness for the benefit of others. We usually ask for divine support without giving up a millimeter of our comfort and often claim the blessing of spiritual instructors, closing the door of our souls to those who beg us for understanding and forgiveness. It is essential, however, to remember that no one needs to die in the flesh to resurface in attitude. Every morning, the reborn sun teaches us, in silence, that life begins every day, and that every day, we can remake our destiny by voluntarily amending our mistakes. Let us learn to shed light on our inner selves through noble study and to correct our evils through the service of constant good. Let us know how to build, according to clear and simple love, and we will realize, at each moment, our opportunity to cooperate in favor of others. Set yourself to such a task, and you will find in the field where you journey but companions of hope and struggle, begging for your heart. They swarm here and there, afflicted and unhappy, even when they appear to you to be dominated by pride or weakened by the truth. Don't aggravate their pain by extending the shadows that darken their hours. Flee the reproach that annihilates, avoid sarcasm that poisons, the
  • 29. demand that disfigures, and abstain from the accusation that devastates... Remember that we all must help so that we can be helped. And by incessantly amending the harm caused by others, you will be restoring your path, which, cleansed and renewed, will allow the light of eternal good to pass through to your aid, which no one can do without on their ascent to God.
  • 30. Temptation We are tempted by the external forces of life, according to our needs of internal purification. This means that each creature suffers temptation according to its nature. What happens in the realms of nature, where fire does not feed on water, but rather the fuel that suits its way of being, in the realm of the spirit, each of us combines only with the energies that resemble our own. That is why we are usually reborn on the physical plane, carrying along our shortcomings and domestic problems that require extinction or adjustment. Spirits; given over to usury and cruelty, in many circumstances, reappear in the cradle of gold, once again experiencing the temptation of stinginess and pride to overcome them, and souls crystallized in revolt and indiscipline in impoverished homes, once again, going through the temptation of despair and delinquency to overcome them sufficiently. We come together through the consanguineous family, often with our deepest aversions, to transform them into pure love, at the price of forgiveness and service, devotion and renunciation. In every frame of human struggle, we are faced with harsh trials that speak to our own needs, so that, in the sublime victory over ourselves, we know how to seek the heights of life. Don't think you're simply being tempted by others to go down the cliff of darkness.
  • 31. We are those who, by stretching out the thread of desire, attract to our detriment or in our favor, the companions who will add to our strength for the fall into the shadows or to ascend to the Divine Light.
  • 32. Transformations We are all aware of the transformations taking place on Earth. And there are many of them: Intensive industrial progress; Achievements in the atomic realm; Competitive struggles for greater efficiency in the field of weapons; The legalization of abortion in many countries; Genetic research; Juvenile delinquency surpasses adult criminality; Excessive freedom without discipline and so-called rights without corresponding obligations. And the expansion of violence... All these transformations take place through the free will of man, who is proud of the civilization he is inventing with the full support of materialist science. However, it is relevant to remember that God is at work, and whatever human intelligence sows in the world that belongs to God, it will reap too.
  • 33. Use and Abuse Someone once said that God created human beings by giving them the tools with which they can build the paths of their evolution. We all have these resources on Earth to achieve our improvement and conquer our happiness. Using and not abusing these concessions are the symbolic levers necessary for balance. Let's turn to the living teachings of nature. Man uses the plow to till the soil, not to invest in the existence of others. He relies on the scissors to cut, not to hurt anyone. It's the same with the physical body that serves as our temporary housing in the material world. You use your mental energies to create good, not to plan evil. Man has the voice mechanism to speak by educating and building, not to cause disturbance and suffering in the paths of others. One has the prodigy of the eye to see and discern, not to sift through the debris and bitterness that may appear on someone's way. Man loads the stomach to help sustain himself, not to stuff it with unnecessary food, establishing imbalances in the organic field. All the possibilities of existence are granted or lent by God to the individual, enabling them to promote the solution of their own needs, but not to harm the interests and feelings of anyone else.
  • 34. Briefly. The Creator established the means of elevation to help everyone learn in the earthly school. That's why using or abusing the Lord's concessions is a relevant subject for everyone. Choices are options.
