- 2. Introduction It’s late December and I’m stood on Harry Strachan’s doorstep while a man sat in a rosebush across the street films me with a video camera. At the time I don’t think this is that weird -I am, after all, stood on Harry Strachan’s doorstep, which is not how I spend my average day. I ring the doorbell, Strachan answers via the interoomand I’m let into his house and this is where all the questions were answered.
- 3. Questions and answers – I asked Harry Strachan. What inspires you as an artist and why? The thrill of playing in front of people as this gives me excitement of performing. What has been your favourite gig so far? One at the 02 Academy back in February, the crowd was crazy. It was the best because the crowd was totally up forever song we had prepared to play there. Is there anywhere you really would like to perform? Hopefully one day, I will be performing in arenas all around the country. Do you have any big plans for the future? To perform a lot more than I already do because at the moment we are working on New Year for the album so we are not performing. Is this a career you would like to do? Yes, by becoming a professional drummer as it would be my dream to perform during to thousands of people for a living. How many gigs have you done so far? I have performed only 26 gigs however; I’ve been playing the drums since I was 4 years old. I love it and we will play anywhere from the 02 Academy, The Picket, Zanzi Bar or even the East village arts club. What kind of songs do you cover for? I like to do cover songs for songs made by Nirvana, Radiohead songs and blur songs. Our favourite song to do is by a band called Vivo Brother called Time Machine. The reason it is my favourite song to cover is because it has the best reaction to the crowd. What is your most embarrassing moment you have ever experienced? I was performing in front of 200 people, and during the song I dropped a stick so the drums had completely stopped, which then made the whole song stop when performing and it was very embarrassing. How do you describe your personality as an artist? My personality as an artist, I’d like to say is fun and exciting which describes my type of music. Do you write any songs of your own? I do, I also can play guitar, so I get a riff for the guitar, record it. Then I play the drums to the riff. Then I figure out all the structure to the song so I can write lyrics. I am hoping to write more lyrics so I can try to become more familiar to other and share my music I have only written a few songs however these are my best ones and they are called Next door, Cubin Fever and Breakout. Would you ever like to collaborate with anyone or become a band? If so who and why? I would love to form a super band with either Dave Grohl, Josh Homme, Tom Morello or Bill Corgan because they are all fantastic musicians and all have incredible vocal techniques. Can we ever expect an album or single in the not too distant future? June 2015, new album which is currently in the making. Who s the joker of the band? I would have to say it would definitely be Joe! Because he just doesn’t care about anything. Who gets the most girls? I’d like to say me, haha. But it most certainly is Liam, he’s like a chick magnet.
