- 2. 1. Igneus rocks They come from lava in the mantle. The lava cools down and becomes solid.
- 3. Basalt and granite Granite is made of three minerals: quartz, feldespate and mica.
- 4. 2. Sedimentary rocks Fragments (little pieces of) rocks deposite and make layers. Sometimes, we can find fossils in these rocks.
- 6. 3. Metamorphic Rocks change because of heat and pressure. They need thousand of years to change.
