  the Emily Stowe Shelter For women
 One of the first shelters to open in Scarborough
 Founded by community service workers & counselors


 Rebuilt & Renamed Dr. Roz’s Healing Place in 2004
 Supplies a safe living environment
  for abused women & children
 All services are free & confidential

    violence against women and their children locally,

 Women & children of any lifestyle (anti-oppressive)


 Women/children fleeing from domestic violence in the home

 Serves approx. 1000 clients/year through community outreach

 Will offer services such as tutoring, legal services/advice, housing, counseling, a
  gym to provide access to sports and physical development, basically support in any
  aspect of life.
