Teachers used technology for better way of teaching and students will gain more knowledgeable information with the help of it. So, this study will give the readers more understanding on the role of technology for teaching and learning. 2.B. RATIONALE The researcher choose this topic because technology nowadays have a big relevant to us, especially to the teachers and students. In this 21st century education system, modern technology is a part it. New ways of teaching with the help of technology are being used and students will gain more experience and knowledge through it. I want them to understand more about the role of technology in teaching and learning. Understand what can technology provide to teachers and student for the better interactions and effective discussion inside the classroom. 3.C. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Especially, now that we are facing a global pandemic – the Covid-19. The impact of this pandemic to the education cause a major interruption in students’ learning. The Government temporarily stop the operation and closed schools in an attempt to contain the spread of the virus. They can’t risk the health of many people especially the students. But the Government and some Schools come up a solution for able not to stop the learning of students, they move the teaching to online. Through online class the students continue their learning. Through used of technology the learning of the students are continuing. That’s why the researcher made this paper for more understanding the role of technology in teaching and learning.

- 4. ABSTRACT This study aims to inform the readers – especially teachers and students the role of technology in teaching and learning. Teachers and students will understand what are the helps of technology in the teaching and learning process in this 21st century educational system. The teacher can improved their teaching strategies, their effectiveness inside the classrooms and catch the attention of the students to focus more in the lesson with the help of modern technology. Students can gain more knowledge and be more critical thinker with the help of technology. Technology as tool to help students to their learning.
- 5. INTRODUCTION The technology has already changed the world, including the way we learn and teach. It ushers in fundamental structural changes that can be integral to achieving significant improvements in productivity. Technology infuses classrooms with digital learning tools, such as computers and hand held devices; expands course offerings, experiences, learning materials: supports learning 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; build 21st century skills; increase students engagement and motivations and accelerate learning. The teachers aim to engender pedagogical change and address fundamental issues that affect learners with special needs. The learner learns from the technology and the technology serves as a teacher.it has the power to transform teaching by ushering in new model of connected teaching. This model links teachers to their students and to professional content, resources, and systems to help improve their own instruction and personalize learning. Technology serves a source and presenter of knowledge. It also serves a productivity tools that can increase educational productivity by enhancing the rate of learning. Educational technology serves a learning tool that learner learn with. It provides opportunities for technology and learner interaction for meaningful learning. LITERATURE REVIEW As what we have today technology become part of our daily lives. It helps us to do our task easily and effectively. It also has a big role in teaching and learning. Teachers and students have seen the advances, noticing how technology has expanded the opportunity to study. According to University of Washington, there six ways how technology can help in teaching and learning. The following are: 1. using of online collaboration tools such as Google Apps. This helps the student and teachers to exchange and share documents online. This platform helps to collect, save, restore data if needed. 2. presentation software – it can help the teacher to discuss in an easier way, and with the help of graphics, animations, photographs it can easily catch the attention of the students. 3. Tablets - such as computers and projectors so that students and teacher can communicate through texts, diagrams and pictures. 4. Course Managements Tools – allows instructor to organize all the resources students need for class.
- 6. 5. Clickers and Smartphones – are quick and easy way to survey students during class. 6. Lecture-capture tools – allow teachers to record lectures directly from computer, without elaborate or additional classroom equipment. According to Wadell (2015) can be a big help as a teaching tool if teacher participate in decisions to adopt technology and attempt to integrate it Into education. This can be used to improve learning. With the different capabilities of the students and the availability of databases to truck students’ individual progress, the teachers encouraged to identify the learning objectives and different instructions based on the different needs of their students. The teachers need to know what appropriate tools to channel that is relevant to objectives, learning style. Overall, with technology, one can expect increased efficiency and effectiveness on both teachers and students. RESULT At this 21st century, technology is a part of our daily lives. Without this modern technology our lives wouldn’t be easier, it helps as to do our task much easier and effective. And nowadays, technologies have a big role in our educational system. Technology helps both teachers and student to be more efficient and effective inside the classroom. The interaction with discussion is much easier to understand because of the use of technology. The learning of students will be increased and they will gain more knowledge about something. Students increased their critical thinking. technology helps teacher to be more interactive her/his discussion inside the classroom, helps them to give more information with the help of it. RECOMMENDATION The researcher recommends to fully understand the role of technology in teaching and learning, especially to the teacher, so they are knowledgeable enough on using it in their teaching practice. The researcher recommends both teachers and students to embrace technology in teaching-learning process especially we are now in the 21st century. Lastly the researcher recommends to use this for future study as a reference, also this study are open for improvement.
