Water as a natural resource.
Water is the most important natural resource
we have. It is commonly found in liquid state.
The earth looks
blue because
is water.
Only 0.01% of this is consumable.
States of water
Water can occur in three states.
States of water
When heat energy is applied to ice cubes they turn
into liquid water. When further heated water turns
into vapour.

Testing for water vapour in the
atmosphere.
Condensation: The conversion of vapour or gas to liquid form.
Evaporation: The conversion of liquids to gas form.
Precipitation: Water that comes out of the atmosphere. Its
form may change depending on the temperature.
The water cycle
What happens to water that falls on to earth?
Ground water
Water that seeps into the ground and are found in wells and springs.
Surface water
Water that stays on the surface of the snow. Found in lakes, rivers, oceans,
streams, ponds, tanks, and waterfalls.
