Water is the most important natural resource and exists primarily in a liquid state on Earth. It can occur in three states: solid, liquid, and gas. Water undergoes continuous cycling between these states through various natural processes like evaporation, condensation, and precipitation in what is known as the water cycle. Only a small fraction of Earth's total water is readily accessible for human use.
