- 6. Solvation If another substance acts as the solvent the process is called solvation, which means the solvent surrounds the solute and pulls it apart making it dissolve.
- 7. Concentration and SolubilityA solution can be measured by its concentration. There are three basic measurements of solubility.
- 8. Saturated SolutionsSaturated means the solution contains the maximum amount of solute that can be dissolved in a solution.
- 9. Supersaturated SolutionsSupersaturated means the solution contains more than the maximum amount of solute that can be dissolved in the solution.
