This document summarizes a research project investigating differences in power and flexibility between female dancers and non-dancers aged 16-18. The researcher conducted vertical jump and sit-and-reach tests on 10 dancers and 10 non-dancers, collecting each participant's best score from 3 trials. The results showed dancers had greater flexibility in the hips than non-dancers. Dancers who participated in other sports were generally more powerful but not more flexible than dancers who only danced. Dancers also demonstrated more leg power than non-dancers, possibly due to their training.
