- 10. Moreover there are discriminations between people on the basis of languages too. It is just an obvious fact in this world ,where there are so many languages — to start from the north with English, French, Russian, Japanese, Mandarin etc and end in the south with languages like Hindi, Tamil, Brazilian, Spanish, Afrikaan etc and where everybody tries to dominate over the others.
- 17. In India the term Unity is embedded in the rich and years old culture of its people. If there is a Kumbh mela either at Allahabad or at Haridwar people from all parts of the country would congregate there in large numbers irrespective of caste, creed and colour.
- 18. Even Hindus visit the Dargah of Khwaja Salim Chishti or the Dewa Sharif Dargah in U. P .and during the Guru Poornima (Full Moon Day); Hindus and Sikhs all gather at the Gurdwaras and partake in their’ Langars’ — the congregational meal. During Durga Puja, people from all over the country congregate and enjoy before the deity at the pavilion irrespective of religion, age, sex, caste, creed and color .The Muslims also go to visit Vatican City, the holy place of Christians.

The greatest unity among people are demonstrated whenever there has been a foreign invasion challenging the sovereignty of any country whether it was the Chinese aggression in the year 1962 in India, or the Pakistan aggression in 1965 . During the recent warlike conflict in the Kargil Sector with Pakistan, the whole country rose up in unison and demonstrated the true national spirit of unity. When Kuwait was invaded by Iraq in the year 1990, the whole world rose in protest.
