The children of a church exchanged letters with elderly congregation members over the course of a year as part of an intergenerational stewardship project. Through the letters, the children learned about the seniors' childhood games and faith. A special relationship developed between one kindergarten class and a former teacher, with the teacher sending the class Valentine's Day cards and Easter baskets in response to their notes. The project spanned four generations and helped both the children and seniors feel connected to the church community despite differences in age or ability to attend services.
