This document summarizes Dubai's Global World Academy's transition to using ManageBac to support learning in the Primary Years Programme. The school was authorized for the PYP in 2010 and introduced ManageBac in 2011. Initially, planners and student progress tracking were done through Word documents and customized systems. ManageBac was introduced to help standardize documentation and align with IB requirements. Teachers, parents, and students are supported through dedicated staff, video tutorials, and newsletters. Teachers develop units of inquiry and student portfolios in ManageBac. While challenging initially, the school has worked to customize ManageBac to best fit their needs and criteria while supporting the learning community.
