the humans.

assimilate with humans.
District 9 can be seen as an allegory for
racial division.
A theme of xenophobia runs throughout
the film.
A social hierarchy exists within the film
world where humans, particularly the MNU
are dominant and possess and control
over those they feel are subordinate.
The comfortable lives of humans are
juxtaposed with the dystopian landscape
in which the aliens must try to survive in
harsh living conditions.
