- 5. New York city stands 46th in the United States with respect to per capita power consumption.
- 6. The MTA utilizes 28% of the power produced.
- 7. In 2008 the MTA used 2150 GWh of electricity and paid an electricity bill of $ 237 million.7.2 % of the power is lost in transmission. This costs the MTA over $16.5 million per annum.
