Computer technologies and the internet are powerful tools for assisting these approaches to language teaching. The internet, as well as some simulation software, provides a stage for the real world where students observe, think, question, organize and test their ideas According to Rodgers, L. and Withrow-Thorton, J. (2005) through the use of simulation and game playing, computer-based instruction provided opportunities for learners to demonstrate new knowledge and be given immediate feedback. Computer-based instruction leads to a more student-centered, self-directed approach that allows each learner to manage his or her own learning process.
- 3. This interactive course teaches to you to speak Spanish by focusing on sentence structure. You learn Spanish words within different contexts in order to be able to create sentences. This software itself is primarily videos; it uses different learning styles for example: Interactive movies, Pronunciation CD-ROM and a conversational manual. Visual links focuses on sentence construction rather than on memorizing grammar rules or endless words lists.

- 17. Students will listen to the proper way to ask for the location of a place in Spanish. Students will practice asking questions trying to incorporate new vocabulary words such as places ( el parque or el mercado) Students will work in pairs pretending that they are in a Spanish speaking country and need to ask for the location of various places and people. Directions to these places will also be given in Spanish using the responses vocabulary.

According to Rodgers, L. and Withrow-Thorton, J. (2005) selecting the appropriate instructional format is a critical decision to stimulate learner motivation. Formats like interactive computer-based generates a higher degree of motivation because: 1. It is able to involve the learners with the content and used techniques such as simulated scenarios that required immediate learner input. These interactions and their instant feedback provided opportunities for the learner to become more cognitively engaged and create a history of success that generated a stronger degree of confidence. 2. By being more engage in the process, a learner is able to construct a reality that has a higher degree of personal relevance. This engaging process creates a more interesting learning environment. I think this lesson will motivate students because it offers instructional materials that creates a learning environment that captures students’ attention and relates to their experiences . It also provides instant feedback which helps the students to control their own progress and ultimately builds on their confidence.

A few common pitfalls of internet use include objectionable materials, predators, copyright violations and plagiarism, viruses and hacking, netiquette behavior, and privacy issues.
